Chapter 15

Kaila's POV

We pulled in and something didn't seem right. AJ parked and he looked at me as if he felt the same thing. I stepped out and so did he. We walked up to the door and knocked. King slung it open and his eyes were dark. We didn't even get a chance to say hi or anything before King started pushing AJ. "You FUCKING my sister daw!?" He kept repeating over and over. He wasn't even trying to listen to him. Everybody in the house came outside and was watching in disbelief; everybody but Dre. He found it funny. I ran over to them and pulled King off. "King. He's not having sex with me okay? I haven't trusted anybody with that. I don't want it. You let Dre feed you stupid ass lies about your sister and you believe them?" I said breathing hard and tapping my foot. "Why he was in your room Kaila!" he yelled all up in my face and I backed up. "When have you ever known me not to have a good heart? He was tired and I didn't want him to fall asleep on the road. He lives far from where we were. He slept on an air mattress on the floor." I said folding my arms. His facial expression changed and he tried to grab my arm. I stepped away walked up to everybody else. "Excuse me." I said walking through. I went in the house and went straight to the studio. I played Trophies through the speaker and just let all my anger go.

AJ's POV

King stepped up to me. "My fault man. I can tell my sister like you though. If she told you what she been through, be the opposite of that nigga." he smiled and clapped me up. Everybody was walking in the house and we joined them. All I heard was music blasting through the house. "Who playing mus-." Everybody cut me off. "Kaila." I nodded and we sat down to talk about stuff. Dre keeps mugging me every five minutes. "Dre! The duck you on my nigga?" I yelled getting heated. "You stole her." he said nonchalantly. "Stole who?" everybody asked."The girl that I love. Kai." he said standing. "You love me? Nah. Ion believe it."she giggled. "You stopped riding with me when you had everybody else riding you. You not down for me, you never were Dre. Never." she shaking her head and sitting down next to me. "He didn't steal me, you let me go." she looked down in her lap. "I don't think y'all should share a condo no more. Imma move you out Kaila." King said putting his hand on her shoulder. She nodded. Dre looked hurt.

The ride back to the condo was silent. Kaila had fallen asleep and she didn't look peaceful for once. She looked like she was ready to cry any moment. I pulled into the parking lot parked in her spot. "Kai. Wake up ma." I said shaking her softly. Her eyes opened slowly and she sat up. "Come on were here." O said turning the car off and opening the door.

We got out and I stuck my hand out for her, she grabbed it and caught up to me. She leaned into me and I put my arm around her shoulders. "AJ. I need some rest. You can stay for a while if you like?" she yawned as we stepped into the elevator. I can stay for about two hours but then I gotta be out. She nodded and leaned into me as the elevator went up.

I can't believe she even fell asleep again. I picked her up and she wrapped her legs around me. I walked down the hallway to her for and got the keys out my pocket. I opened it and I laid her on the couch. The dishes from this morning were still in the sink so I washed those and wiped the counter and table down. I dried off my hands and went back where Kaila was. I took off her shoes and jewelry and sat them on the coffee table.

"AJ?" she mumbled. "Yeah." I looked at her. "What you doing?" she said with her eyes still closed. "Making sure you comfortable ma." I said sitting on the other end of the couch. She got up and crawled to the my end. Kai straddled me and put her face in my neck. "I'm sorry about that whole thing with Dre and my brother." she whispered putting her arms around my neck. "It's all good." I replied rubbing her back.

Kaila smelt so good, her skin was soft; just like her lips against my neck. She was just beautiful. I don't see how anybody could've treated her so bad. No doubt I like her, I probably could even love her in the future. She's perfect for me, even her breathing matches mine. All I can hope is that she'll trust that I'll treat her right.
