"AJ!" Kaila screamed out. It was three thirty in the morning. I jumped up and she was sitting up in the bed. "My water just broke." She said huffing and puffing. I got out of the bed and turned on the light. Kaila put on her clothes and I put on sweats and a t-shirt. I grabbed the baby bags and I grabbed her hand. We started going downstairs and a contraction hit her. She damn near folded my hand in two and dragged me to the floor. I went down with her, shit. We finally made it downstairs and into the car. I helped her in and threw the bags in the backseat.
"Shhh-Shit!" Why you driving so slow dammit!" She said clutching the door. I held my tongue because she was in labor. I just let it slide.
In less than 15 minutes she was at the hospital. I carried her in and the nurses helped her immediately. I ran in the room with her and she looked so mean. I called King and Quisha as we rushed to the room.
"Hey mommy and daddy to be. How are you mommy?" The doctor asked putting on her gloves. "Ready to have these kids." She said frowning. "Alright alright. I'm going to check your dilation and we'll go from there." She said as she lifted the blanket and checked her. "3 centimeters, 7 to go honey. You're gonna be here a little while honey. Try to get some rest. I'll come back in a while. " she said taking off her gloves and leaving out.
Kaila
"You want any food or anything?" AJ said as he scratched the back of his head. Awe he was nervous. "No baby. Thanks." I said breathing, trying to relax. "Okay. " he said taking off his slides. He climbed in the bed and rubbed my stomach and back to help me rest and ease the pain. "Seeing you like this makes me love you even more, I know it's weird. But, I appreciate that you're here having my babies." He said kissing my forehead and smiling.
I instantly fell asleep.
AJ
I watched as her face twisted and she frowned. I started rubbing her back cause I knew it was coming. "Fuck!" She belted out grabbing my wrist. "Breathe baby." I said moving her hair out her face even though she was low key hurting me. "Mommy, daddy, it's time!" The doctor said excitedly entering the room. Kaila rolled her eyes; she hated perky people. She got on her back and I got out of the bed sitting next to her. The doctor checked if she was 10 centimeters, and true enough she was. "Okay Ms. Kaila, we're ready to start." She smiled as they took the cover off.
"Okay now push in 1, 2, 3." The nurse said as I held Kaila's hand. She squeezed my hand and I silently screamed next to her. The nurses were laughing and I was in pain. "Okay one is crowning. Push again for me Hun." She said looking up at her. Kaila pushed hard as hell again. "I'm so tired. I can't." She whined looking up at me. "Yes you can. Calm down and let's get this done." I said wiping her face. "I hate you, you did this to me!" She said looking at the doctor who was telling her to push again. After two more, our baby boy was out and screaming loudly. "Okay mama, we got one more. She should come out easier than before." She said smiling. Kaila gave her an evil look. She cleared her throat. " let's get this finish." She said quickly.
After two pushes, baby girl came out even louder than the boy. "You did it baby I said kissing her head. I cut the umbilical cords and they went to go clean them up. A nurse came in with a clipboard. "Congratulations guys. What would you like to name your babies?" She asked smiling. "Nakaila Anaria Jackson for the girl. And Naithan Amari Jackson for the boy. " Kaila said yawning. " Spell it out for me?" She said putting her hair behind her ear. I spelled it to make it a little unique. "Alright guys, I'll be back with the birth certificates tomorrow. "Get some rest Hun." She Said smiling and walking out. Kaila was out within a matter of minutes.
