Epiphany // Alicent Hightower out now!!

Prince Daemon was at Harrenhal when he got the news of Luke's death, he sent a raven to Rhaenyra, promising that her son's death would be avenged. He went to two trusted men, Blood and Cheese, that he had known in the city watch. With a mission of pain.

"Where is the queen?" Aisha asked looking around. "Hela? Where are they?"

The passage ways, what a shit way to be bested. Alicent was checking on Helaena and the babies when two men on Daemon's command snuck into the Red keep. Alicent pushed open the door to see Tayla strung up and strangled. Her eyes went wide as she moved to scream for help when she was grabbed as well.

Gagged and bound, squirming in her chair as she tried to get help when Helaena came in. Fear coursed through her as she saw her mother's petrified face.

"A debt must me paid." Blood remarked as Cheese grabbed Helaena. "Which son of yours is to die?"

"What?" Helaena whimpered out as Blood dragged his blade from Maelor, her youngest babe, not even a year yet and Jaehaerys.

"Pick. A debt must me paid." Blood repeated. "Which son will you lose as the Queen has lost her son. So shall you." Helaena couldnt breathe.

"PICK!" Cheese demanded holding the blade to her throat.

"Neither, please, neither!" Helaena begged.

"Both then." Blood told her and Helaena screamed out for him to stop.

"No, please..." she looked to her crying children. Why was no one coming? Why was no one here to save them?

"Pick." Cheese whispered in her ear.

"M-Maelor." she whimpered and a smile curved on Bloods face as he killed Jaehaerys instead. He took his head as Helaena sobbed out. But they left, shoving his head into their beg before heading out leaving Alicent still bound, and Helaena still in tears. Maelor screaming bloody murder as Jaehaerys blood soaked his own pants.

"Alicent!" Aisha declared pulling at her binds before she saw the blood and headless toddler. "Hela..."

"THEY KILLED HIM!" Helaena screamed out as she sobbed into her hands.

"How long?" Aisha asked removing Alicent's gag.

"But a moment.' She whimpered out.

"Tend to the Queens." Aisha instructed as she grabbed Criston's arm. "We find them. They have blood on their hands and the prince's head, no doubt as a peace offering for their false queen. We get them all."

Blood was seized at the Gate of the Gods, with the head of Prince Jaehaerys hidden in a saddle sack.

The screams echoed. Aisha leaned back against the wall as Aegon approached her.

"I'm so sorry." Aisha whispered hugging him. He held tight to her. "I'm sorry... I'm going to kill them all. I promise. I will avenge him too."

"Are they making any progress?" aegon asked softly still holding tight to her.

"A lot of screaming, not a lot of talking." Aisha remarked. Aegon nodded into her. "I could try." He took a step back about to agree when he heard Blood's confession, screamed out through sobs.

Mysaria. Daemon. Cheese.

Blood described the whore Mysaria who had hired him and Cheese for the assassination. That Daemon had instructed them to bring the prince's head to Rhaenyra. Cheese was a ratcatcher, knew all the hiding spots, knew how to get in, how to get out.

The gold cloaks, searched the Street of Silk from top to bottom but found no trace of Mysaria or Cheese.

Aegon ordered all the ratcatchers in the city to be hanged as his first official demand. They rounded them up and strung them up. No Cheese but no more knowledge of getting in and out undetected either, Aegon hoped. Afterward, Otto brought a hundred cats to the Red Keep to take their place. A much cuter alternative in Aisha's mind.

"We need to get control of Kings landing." Aisha declared. Helaena had sunk into a deep depression, wouldnt leave her chambers and couldnt bear to look at Maelor having told them to kill Maelor and not Jaehaerys.

Alicent was rattled as well. She picked anxiously at her nails, making them bleed. Otto stared back at his daughter it had been years since she did that. Her eyes jumped around as well nervously, they were no longer safe in their home.

"We need to show strength." Aisha went on. "Hire sell swords, strengthen the defense of kings landing... what happened today cannot, will not happen again. We must keep pushing for alliances. We need them now more than ever."

After the deaths of Prince Jaehaerys and Prince Lucarys both sides were past bending and onto vengeance. Something Aisha thought they should have done a long time ago. Would have saved so many lives if Daemon and Rhaenyra were held accountable for their actions.

"Send ravens again to Winterfell and the Eyrie, Riverrun, white Harbor, Gulltown, Bitterbridge, Fair Isleand-" Aisha rattled off and half a hundred other Houses that could be beneficial, the council took notes, began writing, seals were stamped and ravens sent.

They sent riders to the holdings closer to the capital, to summon their lords and ladies to court to do fealty to King Aegon. Otto also reached out to Dorne, which had fought against Daemon in the War for the Stepstones, but Prince Qoren Martell refused to take part.

"You command the room." Aemond whispered as she leaned back into him. "A true queen."

"I'm fighting for my family. They have taken too much." Aisha declared.
