13. Duty and Desire

"Something is wrong." Aisha remarked as she felt the water shift.

"What do you mean?" Alicent corrected as Aisha whistled and Aquarius popped up from the water.

"I'm coming!" Addam declared getting Seasmoke.

"I feel it." Aisha whispered as she climbed on Aquarius. "They need me."

"Come back, you all come back in one piece!" Alicent begged.

"Ready Addam?" Aisha questioned.

"Sovegon." He declared and they took off.

"No fucking fair." Alyn declared watching them set off. "You got any more dragons for a handsome bastard like me to borrow?" Alyn questioned Alicent but she huffed out a breath as she headed back inside.

When Sunfyre and Vhagar arrived, the dragons fought a thousand feet above the ground. Jaw's snapping, fire blazing, screams and moans echoing from the knights below.

Meleys's jaws closed around Sunfyre's neck, and Vhagar fell upon them, causing all three dragons to crash tumbling around through the sky. Sunfyre was the smallest and Aisha saw him crash down Aegon on his back. Meleys forced her wings up trying to stay in the air as Rhaenys glared back at them.

"RHAENYS!" Aisha shouted as Aquarius glided over the water as they got closer. "Addam, find Aegon." Aisha demanded and he swooped down. 

From the ashes, Vhagar rose again. Aemond looked to the water as it seemed like Aisha was forming dragons out of the water itself. Aemond took deep breaths from the fall, feeling a popped rib as he debated what to do, how to help.

"It is too late Aisha, too damn late. Your father sided with Rhaenyra. She has more allies, more dragons, more-" Rhaenys shouted back.

"But she hasnt felt my fury yet." Aisha countered. Addam faltered back as he pulled Aegon free when he saw hands, arms, forged of water and rising up.

Sunfyre had one wing half torn from his body, while Aegon, suffered many broken bones and severe burns along his body, he was unconscious when Addam got him from the fiery ashes.

Rhaenys looked around as Meleys was having a hard time getting higher, the water whipping around, her wounded wings. Then the grip of something grabbing her tail and pulling her down.

Entrancing blue eyes met Rhaenys as Aisha stared back at her.

Aisha felt the strain of her abilities as she pushed harder and harder. she stood up aquarius's back as her head tipped up to the sky, her arms extended out, fingers wide before she clenched her fists and the water hands popped up. Water forged people pulling Rhaenys down.

Alicent was wrong, Aisha had been told her parents had loved each other once and creating her was of passion and not duty. Yet Aisha felt this fury and power boiling inside of her. It didnt matter if the love was there or not when the deed was done it was all the moments after that helped or hurt.

Aisha thought it would hurt more as she watched her mother drown being dragged down at her command. Rhaenys bubbled and gurgled for breath between screams before Aisha felt her heartbeat stop deep below the waters. But the only pain she felt was exhaustion and over exertion of her abilities as she collapsed back onto Aquarius. The waters settled and the water people splashed back into nothingness.

"Get him back." Aisha murmured through labored breaths when Addam rode forward with Aegon slung over Seasmoke. "Get him safe."

Meleys stared back at Aisha as she slumped to the shores. She was wounded past recovery, Aisha watched as she hissed out a final breath before dying as well.

She didnt like that dragons had gotten hurt in all this, sunfyre didnt look like he had long to live, she hated that Aegon looked like death as Addam flew away.

Aemond ran as fast as he could through the waters his legs trudging through until he got to Aisha. Her eyes were closed as Aquarius floated on the surface Aisha laying against her.

"Aisha," Aemond whispered touching her arm and she opened her eyes blinking back at him. He had so much he wanted to say, one being I wanted you safe what the fuck are you doing! But he hugged her gently instead. "Are you alright?" She nodded into him.

"You?" She whimpered.

"Yeah..." Aemond agreed. "I was so worried."

"Me to, I felt it. Thats why I came. I felt..." she closed her eyes as he kissed her cheek.

"Go home love we got this." Aemond insisted. "Take her home." Aemond demanded Aquarius and she turned in the water. Aisha stared back at him until she couldnt see him anymore.

After the battle, Aemond and Criston took Rook's Rest and put the garrison to death. Vhagars fire was quickest for the traitors.

Aegon was brought back to King's Landing, where maesters attended his severe wounds while he slept under the influence of milk of the poppy.

Sunfyre was too large to be moved and was unable to fly no one expected him to live long. The dragon remained at Rook's Rest, where guards were posted to keep him safe and fed.

Aisha wanted to check on Aegon but when she got back to kings landing she collapsed to the sandy beaches as well, the world going black around her.
