Jaehaera and Maelor clapped out as Aisha made different water creatures in the palm of her hand.

Jaehaera was never one to cry or smile or really have any personality whatsoever. Which Alicent wasnt entirely surprised about considering what an odd one Helaena was. But when she was with Aisha she smiled and laughed and Aisha wondered if Jae was like herself. Needed water or some other element to feel at peace, feel that connection.

Jae was four and Maelor had just had his first name day. Aisha stared back at them and wondered if she lived that long what her own child would be like.

She wondered if she would have a boy or a girl, twins maybe. She looked at the little curve of her stomach and she still found it amazing that she was growing a child inside of her. How amazing and scary. Aisha knew that was another reason why Aemond didnt want her to come with. He wanted to keep her safe.

Maelor pulled himself into Aisha's lap and poked at the water fish in her hand.

Meanwhile Aegon beheaded Lord Darklyn. Blood smeared across them as Duskendale fell.

"Don't look at me like that." Aegon demanded as she shoved past Aemond.

"Like what? A spoiled entitled cunt?" Aemond offered innocently.

"Jealous?"

"Of you? Never." Aemond corrected.

"I am the king, my wife passed and-"

"And nothing!" Aemond shouted back. "Aisha is my wife, mine. She is pregnant with my child! What about that dont you understand?"

"That I loved her first. I had her first." Aegon hissed. "What dont you understand about that? She is my great love story, sure we got off track for a bit but things are looking up."

"My child, she carries my child. Mine! I am going to be father and you want to tear my family apart all because of your ego. She isnt yours!" Aemond corrected. "Did you say the vows? No. I am hers and she is mine." Aemond spat back.

"I am the king. I make the rules." Aegon corrected.

"The king for how long though?" Aemond asked. "We are losing, Rhaenyra is winning."

"I had a thought on that too your grace." Criston remarked coming up to them. "We go the rooks rest, House Staunton had pledged their support to Rhaenyra as well. We show them who the real king is."

"Lets go then." Aegon declared.

"I'm grateful for you." Alicent remarked softly as the knelt beside Aisha and Jae and Maelor. Maelor waved back at her from Aisha's lap.

"You have lost so much," Aisha looked to Maelor as he smiled happily up at her poking at the water fish in her hand as she made it swim around the room as though the room, the air itself was a fishbowl.

"So have you." Alicent rasped. "I should have been paying better attention." Alicent whispered.

"You were young when you had Aegon and Helaena." Aisha recalled. "You are still young." Alicent smiled pitifully. "You did the best you could with the hand you were dealt."

"Did I though?" Alicent countered.

"Aegon used to tell me that you didnt love him." Aisha said softly. "That king Viserys loved that he had a son but didnt love Aegon himself. He said you couldnt look at him most days." Alicent sucked in a pained breath but Aisha grabbed her hand. "You were a child and Viserys was a grown man. I suspect now that seeing Aegon and Helaena only reminded you of the pain, that pain in your life." Alicent nodded slightly as she felt tears welling in her eyes.

"I did love Viserys." Alicent offered.

"But in the beginning you were a child, he forced himself upon you trying to get an heir, an heir he could be proud of." Aisha said as Alicent leaned into her.

"Children made of duty and not love..." Alicent rasped. "Aegon was right, I couldnt look at him. I saw Viserys and the council, I saw the night of my wedding and I saw them staring at me as he forced himself on me." ALicent recalled and Aisha saw a distance in her eyes. "I saw the pain, I felt that pain when I looked at them."

"I'm sorry you had to go through that." Aisha whispered.

"I should have let Aegon marry you." Alicent blurted out. "I should have let Aegon marry you but... I'm an awful mother. I'm an awful person." Alicent whimpered.

"You are not." Aisha assured. "You stood by your children. My mother was ready to burn me alive." Aisha reminded her.

"If I... I think somewhere deep down, I didnt want Aegon to have that true love." Alicent whispered as she wiped at her eyes. "Viserys had caused me so much pain in my youth and Aegon was a daily reminder of that and I didnt want him to have the happily ever after when for so long I couldnt stand anything. Not Viserys, not Aegon or Helaena, the capital had become a strange place. I hated myself."

"Aisha I'm sorry I took away your happily ever after." Alicent remarked and Aisha stared back at her a moment longer.

"You didnt." Aisha corrected. "I love Aemond. He is my happily ever after."

Lord Staunton defied Aegon's army when they arrived and demanded him to bend to the rightful king and dispatched a raven to Dragonstone.

Rhaenys was sent out to deal with the matter. She arrived on her dragon, Meleys, but Criston's men attacked Meleys with scorpions, longbows, and crossbows trying to buy themselves time before Aegon and his dragon arrived.
