So It Goes // Corlys Velaryon // Rhaenys Targaryen out now!

With the Baratheon forces diminished, although Aisha didnt intend such casualties it kept Aegon from taking another. But their losses left King's Landing with weakened defenses, Blacks and Greens, Aisha didnt know why they were still fighting. Aegon was the king. Rhaenyra and her children all of them were dead. The bastards wanting the crown although Aisha's heart ached thinking about the children, possible children of Aegon she had to focus on her children, Laenor and Jaehaera. Lord Cregan Stark and his forces marched south to reinforce their own losses.

Aegon didnt want her going full sea witch after being told what happened last time she was this pregnant and came to save the day. Cregan was a mere man, they still had three dragons. Everything was going to be fine. Aegon wanted Aisha to be safe. After everything that had gotten them to where they were now he couldnt, he wouldnt risk her fighting the starks and getting hurt.

Lord Cregan Stark was coming south, and other armies were coming from the Vale of Arryn as well. They were stubborn as dragons, Aisha thought as they demanded the throne in honor of the queen they chose instead of Aegon. Who they still thought a usurper.

They demanded Aegon surrender. Even Aisha scoffed at that. Aegon refused to surrender.

"Rhaenyra's bloodline is gone, you are fighting for ghosts!" Aegon declared.

"Better ghosts than a drunk fool!" Cregan countered.

"Surrender, you can go to the nights watch, live our your days, all of your men may bow down and surrender, head north and live out your days at the wall." Aegon declared. "It is more than you deserve."

Aisha was proud. Aegon didnt want to be a tyrant. He saw the failings of the previous years ruling and running and hiding and healing... how so many lives were lost because the people were scared. He had a wife he truly loved and a family he was going to try better for, to be a better man for.

"You are a cunt." Cregan declared. "I will never bow to you. We will never bow to you."

Corlys was impressed. Before all this last he saw Aegon getting drunk at Aisha's wedding causing a fuss. Now Aegon had married Aisha and Corlys saw a good man before them. He saw the man Aisha had known all along.

Cregan scoffed marching off at the night grew later.

"Is that your answer?" Aegon shouted back. "If so you needn't go far. Rhaenyra had a bend or break mentality. Since you are so fond of her, I think I shall stick with her punishment for her loyal followers. You can follow her to the grave."

"Not how I expected our first moon of marriage to go." Aegon remarked kissing Aisha's cheek.

''Honestly, I thought yelling at Starks was exactly what our first moon was going to be like." Aisha teased.

"A celebratory drink." Aegon declared happily. "To us." Aisha smiled back at him as he poured the wine. "And our growing family." He put a hand on her stomach.

"To us." Aisha agreed bringing the glass to her lips but she hesitated at  footsteps coming into their room.

"Mama, can you read me a story?" Jaehaera asked holding up her book.

"Of course." Aisha agreed standing up.

"How about a midnight swim?" Aegon questioned wrapping his arms around her.

"Yes." Aisha agreed leaning back into him. A tear fell down her cheek and she didnt know if it was happy or sad, she felt all the emotions as she kissed him running a hand down his chest.

"I love you!" Aegon declared kissing her again and she couldnt stop smiling as he kissed away her tears.

"I love you." She echoed. "Midnight!" She declared as Jaehaera grabbed her hand leading her out.

"Midnight," Aegon agreed finishing his wine.

Aisha went back to their room looking to see if Aegon had already headed out when she saw him dead on the floor. There was blood on his lips... from poisoned wine. She grabbed the bottle as she screamed out throwing it out the balcony, it shattered into a million pieces just as her heart felt.

Addam and Alyn heard her screams, her sobs as she sobbed into Aegon. Alicent came in and looked to Addam and ALyn trying to comfort Aisha as she shook uncontrollably. Still screaming and sobbing as Alicent held onto her.

Aisha's heart hurt. It physically hurt. She thought she was going to have a heart attack. It felt like someone was squeezing her heart. Squeezing and squeezing, she couldnt breathe, as her chest heaved with shattered breaths.

Who poisoned the king? Who had the opportunity? Who had the motives? Whoever it was, was ready to kill Aisha too.  No one confessed, but twenty-two men were arrested. Aisha drowned them all. One by one.

They were brought out to the waters at Midnight. All the midnights she would never get. All the moments she lost with both Aemond and Aegon.

One by one she pulled them under, an ear pinching scream on her lips as they were dragged down before Aquarius tore them apart. One by one twenty two men...

Aisha collapsed to her knees screaming out at the waters edge. Corlys watched as a tsunami formed before their eyes. It spun and spun around the waters drifting deeper out into the sea.

Aisha didnt know how to say goodbye to someone she knew her whole life.

She stared out wanting to drown her enemies in their tears because of what they took from her, but right now she felt like she was drowning and she didnt have Aemond or Aegon to pull her back up.
