Chapter VII

Narrator's POV:

{Yesterday}

Sanemi was training as usual, in the woods, swinging his sword, slicing off all of his target's heads. It was actually well known of him to train near those tall trees, and Master Ubayashiki allowed it and didn't mind at all.

Later, he decided to finally stop and go back to his estate. Until that little Butterfly girl came up to him.. Isn't she Kochō's Tsugoku?
"Shinazugawa-San, um, Shinobu-San informed me to tell you to meet her back at The Butterfly Estate.." She said, silently waiting for Sanemi's response.
"Did she tell you why? It better be important.."
"No, unfortunately she didn't... But she did say that it'll help you out, and that you can meet her after lunch. If that makes it any better?.."
"Fine.. Tell her that I'll be there in an hour or so.."
"I will.."
. . .

"What are you doing waiting here?" Sanemi questioned. After all, the only reason she came here into the woods was to inform him about Kochō..
"Are you..thinking about Kanae-San..?"
Kanae...

It was after a Hashira meeting. Around spring, on where the Cherry Blossoms were blooming. Sanemi was talking to her about the future, and it got to a point of where the topic changed into love. Love.
"You know Shinazugawa-San, if I die young, I hope you'll somehow find somebody else that'll make you happy."
"Don't say that Kanae." Sanemi said.
"But Shinazugawa-San..there's such a chance that we might pass someday, and I don't want to perish without saying anything."
"..You're not going to die, stop saying that."
"At least, Shinazugawa-San, at least...know that when you love someone, they truly make you happy.. They make you feel..loved. When they smile, everything feels perfect. At that moment, you want them to be happy. You want to just give a beautiful diamond ring, or maybe even a promise ring... So, please don't deny happiness..please don't deny your love for somebody else..promise?"

"...I promise."

But he ended up denying love..and happiness. I've broken that promise already.. He thought.
"Sometimes.." He admitted. "Sometimes, I think about her."
Then Kanao smiled. "She really does make you happy, right?"
"Yeah.." He gave a slight smile.
"I'll be going now then. Goodbye Shinazugawa-San."

On the way to his estate, the Wind Pillar suddenly saw something beautiful on the ground.. A Ring.
It was a diamond ring. An actual diamond. It looked like someone dropped it or something.. Oh well, I could sell this..maybe even get Uzui to pay me..

He slid the ring into his pocket, then went home to wash off all the dirt and dust.
It was blue. The same blue.
Stupid Tomioka... Sanemi thought, Out of all people...why did he make me feel like this again?

"At that moment, you want them to be happy. You want to just give a beautiful diamond ring, or maybe even a promise ring..."

After taking a quick shower, Sanemi changed into some new clothes, and placed the ring into his pocket before going back to the Butterfly Estate to meet Kochō.

"So what did you want to tell me?" He asked, sitting down on a nearby seat.
The Insect Pillar gently sat down as well, wearing her usual smile.

"First of all, I've noticed you and Tomioka-San has gotten a bit close recently! Have you two become friends, or maybe even more?"
"No, besides why would I even want be friends with him!?"
"How come you two went out together? Friends go eating out with together sometimes, lovers do that too!"
He sighed, Sanemi did not want anyone to find out his feelings for Tomioka Giyuu.. Especially not Kochō Shinobu.

"FINE, WE ARE FRIENDS! Happy now!?"

Author's Note: Sanemi just lied at that moment that him and Giyuu are friends. He just didn't want Shinobu to ask him loads of questions. Also, he doesn't really know what he and Giyuu are. But they will probably become a thing sometime in this story...besides, this is literally Sanegiyuu, I'm sure that you already know that them becoming a thing will happen. Anyways, back to the story :)

"Oh, well that's really sweet of you to befriend Tomioka-San, Shinazugawa-San! It's nice for a change!"
"God, you're really annoying." Sanemi said, rolling his eyes.
"Shut up about that, or else I'll inject a whole ton of poison into your body when your sleeping tonight. Don't forget I know where you live." Shinobu's smile was still there, yet she was still furious.
"Are we even going to get to the main point here? I thought you asked me to meet you back here because you were gonna help me out with something!?"
"Oh fine..just don't be an @s$h0l3."

Sick and annoyed of her, Sanemi gestured for her to move on and explain before he wasted any more time fighting around with a 4'11 woman.

"So, I wanted to talk about your feelings for Tomioka-San-
"FEELINGS!?"
"Kanroji-Chan told me and Himejima-San about you two. Especially the fact that you got a bit jealous when she hugged Tomioka-San.
"I'M NOT JEALOUS!"
"Shinazugawa-San, when Kanroji-Chan and Himejima-San confirm feelings, you know it's true."
"You guys are idiots.."
"Don't deny it Shinazugawa-San." Kochō's smile suddenly disappeared as she said this. "Kanae wants you to be happy, I know it. If you really loved her, you would know too."

"...Fine..I guess I really do love that idiot. Your gonna be my love therapist or something now?"
"Great! And no, I won't be your love therapist, I'll just try to help you!"
"Isn't that what love therapists do?"
"Just listen to me Shinazugawa-San, alright?"
"Jesus, fine. Just make this quick."
"Don't whine, and listen. First, we'll go over the 5 love languages!"

Honestly, I can tell that this took FOREVER to write. Also, I seem to have made some people be pretty confused with the ring thing in the last chapter.. But, I hope you enjoyed this part, and I hope you understand on why Sanemi had a diamond ring! Anyways all hate comments are removed immediately so don't waste your boring life by typing in useless words and keep your opinions to yourself :)
