"So how'd it go, Romeo?" Phat Beet questioned.
"It was awful. We barely connected," Thyme Warp said. "I wanted to lean in closer, but I was too nervous to say or do anything romantic! So we just sat there."
"Well, it least it was date!" Phat Beet exclaimed.
"I guess you're right." Thyme Warp sighed.
Meanwhile...
"So how'd it go, Juliet?" Toadstool questioned.
"It was awful. We barely connected," Gold Leaf said. "I wanted to lean in closer, but I was too nervous to say or do anything romantic! So we just sat there."
"Well, it least it was date!" Toadstool exclaimed.
"I guess you're right." Gold Leaf sighed.
Electrici-tea then came running over. "Hey, guys! Come look! We're doing a poll on which PvZ2 level is the hardest. They're revealing the votes now!" He eagerly shouted. Gold Leaf and Toadstool were like "Why not?" and they went to the big screen. (Yeah, th-they have a big screen. Why? No idea.)
Once everyone had gathered around, the scoreboard revealed the votes.
In 3rd place: Modern Day - Day 44. An incredibly hard boss fight that the person writing this needed two boosted plants and a TON of power-ups for.
In 2nd place: Big Wave Beach- Day 28. Extremely tough to every player that encounters it.
And finally, in 1st place: Dark Ages - Night 18! OH MY GOD THIS LEVEL WAS ABSOLUTE HELL.
"I agree with that, to be honest," said Gold Leaf.
"Hey! Me TOO!" Thyme Warp said.
"Ay, I guess we've got a little something in common after all!" Gold Leaf proclaimed.
Then the both of them backed away from each other because they start to get nervous after being around each other for more than 5 seconds. They both had a quite strong love for the other, but they were too nervous to admit it.
Oh, woe is me...
Anyway, let's get back to the story!
All of a sudden, one third of the PvZ2 plants were teleported to a modern-looking lawn. Another third teleported to a warm and sandy beach. And the last third teleported to a dark and gloomy castle. It turns out big screens in the PvZ2 world were alive. And they decided to play a prank today. So the big screen that had shown the results then teleported one third of the plants to each of the top 3 hardest levels. Lol get wrekt idiots.
However, it was supposed to be a HARMLESS prank. They would get freaked out at first, then calm down once they realized the big screen had left them each with power-up buttons. Unfortunately, there was one tiny problem with that exchange...
"Huh? Where are we?" Asked Thyme Warp.
"I think we're in some sort of... level," Gold Leaf said.
They then both saw each other in surprise.
"Oh no, not her, not now..." Thyme Warp thought. "Haven't I embarrassed myself enough today?"
"Wait, is this... Dark Ages - Night 18?" Toadstool gulped. "Uh oh! We're doomed!"
Endless zombies then began pouring out of the castle.
"Hey wait, we have those buttons!" Stickybomb Rice exclaimed. "We should be fine."
After that, a huge wave of zombies came, but the plants were ready.
"Eh, were okay, since we have the buttons," Lily Pad reassured.
"Uh... guys?" Parsnip foreshadowed. "The power-ups don't work."
