"Is this where he'd say he'd be?" I look around the empty building, there being so sign of any life here at all other than Josh and I.

"Yeah," Josh replies, not looking anywhere near worried.

"Are you sure?" I look down at my folder of notes. We were meant to be meeting up with some artist that Josh had booked an interview with, yet, he was nowhere to be seen. "This place is seriously dead."

"He's probably just late." Josh steps closer to me, a little too close. "Hey, how're you holding up?"

I step back a little. "I'm fine," I tell him honestly. "Zayn and I talked about it, you know? I think we're both officially moving on."

"That's good." He nods. Just nods. "You need to move on. Zayn may have been your first love, but he won't be your last."

"I don't really want to be thinking of loving someone else right now." I laugh somewhat awkwardly, my stomach churning.

This place was seriously freaking me out. Why did Josh organise for the interview to be here? In an abandoned building? Why not a cafe? A flower garden? Somewhere with actual life.

"Why not?" Josh's voice is somewhat harsh and pushy. "You know you have to. You can't 'officially move on' if you still love him."

I'm a little offended. "I don't," I snap. "I mean, well, a part of me always will I guess. But that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to move on. I have, Josh. I'm fine."

"Are you?"

I don't know what it is, but there's something about this whole situation that's starting to make me feel uncomfortable. I've never felt so nervous around Josh before. But not the good kind, the bad kind. The almost ... scared kind.

"Well, it's a lot to deal with, Josh," I say harshly. "You can't just expect me to flick a switch and all my emotions to just disappear. It doesn't work like that."

"I know how it works," he replies. "I've been through heartache too, you know?"

"Then why are you pressuring me?"

"I'm simply just telling you that you need to stop being so emotional."

"Emotional?" I raise my eyebrows.

"You need to stop feeling so upset, Violet," he whines. "Zayn broke up with you about three weeks ago. Get over it already."

I can hardly believe that the words coming out of his mouth are in fact coming out of his mouth. Was he serious? Was this meant to be helpful? Some sort of friendly advice?

"Get over it? Is that what you think I should do? Just 'get over it'? Was that what you did? Huh?"

"Don't be like that, Violet." He scoffs. "Stop being so dramatic."

"You know what, Josh? Screw you. I will take however long I need to 'get over it'. If it's a year or two, so fucking be it. And just so you know, I am getting over it. In my own damn way. It's just gonna take some time alright? So don't motherfucking rush me!" I take a deep breath, puffing out my cheeks. I'm practically red from my anger.

What a douche.

Josh's face softens, but I don't care for what he's feeling or thinking now. I'm just mad. Mad that he would say something like that to me in such a tone. He was supposed to be my friend. My supporter. What was so supportive about this? I pull out my phone and send a quick text to Liam, asking him to pick me up from here. I was over talking to Josh.
