Zayn
We arrive in Manchester around midday, all eager to get out of the cramped car and get some fresh air and space. Niall takes us to our hotel first, instructing that we'll check in, rest up, then meet up with Louis later on. Apparently he has major plans for us to spend our limited time here. All I know is that it'll be good to see him again.
"God, I need to pee," Avery exclaims. "Can we hurry up and check in please?"
Niall lifts up the boot. "Yeah, yeah. Get your stuff, everyone." He starts pulling out the bags and holding them out.
"So what's the deal with rooms?" Harry asks, heaving his bag over his shoulder and grabbing his pillow.
"You brought your own pillow?" I ask, intrigued. Hotels do provide pillows.
"Yeah," Harry says. "I can't sleep without it. Mine has the perfect mould of my head, and the silky cover protects my hair. Plus, hotel pillows are awful. Let me tell you about pillows. See, there's key to a good pillow-"
"Okay," I hold up my hand to signal him to stop, "I get it."
"They've booked two rooms," Niall explains, retrieving the final lot of the luggage. "One with a double bed, and one with a double and a single."
"So, in other words, me third wheeling one of you guys?" Harry says. "Great."
"We'll room with you, Harry," Violet speaks up, struggling with her bag. I lean down and grab it for her. She smiles.
"Thanks," he laughs. "I'll try not to cockblock. Just don't, like, do anything."
Violet madly blushes and I can't help but smile at her reaction when anything remotely sexual is suggested. "No need to worry," I tell him.
Harry just winks.
"That goes for you too," I say, pointing at Niall and Avery. "Thin walls, people. Thin walls."
"Oh, Zayn-o, your concern is admiring," Niall beams.
"It's my concern to actually get a good sleep."
"Okay, this is a good chat and all, but I really do need to pee," Avery says again, crossing her legs awkwardly. "Really."
"Right, right. Let's check in."
We all make our way towards the main office, piling in and dropping all our stuff. Niall speaks to the receptionist behind the desk and within minutes about four bellboys are at our sides and piling our luggage onto a cart.
"Alright," Niall says in a savvy tone, walking back towards us spinning the keys around his fingers and walking like some kind of drunk cowboy. "Top floor, deluxe suites."
"Really?!" Avery cries.
"We'll take your things up to your floor," one of the bellboys says before entering the elevator.
I've never actually stayed in a hotel before, so the experience is entirely new to me. The idea of everyone doing everything for you is crazy. When we arrived here, our car doors were opened for us. Literally opened for us, like we were some kind of monarchy. It was just missing a red carpet for us all to saunter on.
"Zayn, you okay?" I feel Violet's arm entangle through my own.
I look down at her and I know she knows what I'm thinking; that I'm totally out of place in this entire thing. "Oh, yeah. Fine."
"Have you ever stayed in a hotel before?" She asks me, looking up at me carefully. She already knows the answer.
I shake my head, sheepishly smiling.
