Port Royal

It was a rainy day as the camera starts at an altar of a wedding. Tea cups filled with rain water instead of tea, music sheets dampened and ruined. Elizabeth Swann sits in front of the altar in her yellowish wedding dress holding a bouquet of flowers as she did not care about the rain.

Just off shore, a ship with East India Trading Company flag was stationed as boats of soldiers towed into the beach as one had a man riding a horse. The boats arrived on the beach as every soldier got out and lined up as the man rode the horse past them.

Groups of soldiers went through the town as the citizens all went inside. The man arrived at the altar but didn't step into the rain.

The soldiers kicked down the door to the blacksmith and went in as an officer let a pair of iron cuffs down.

Elizabeth dropped her bouquet and ran past the man as the soldiers were bringing a cuffed William Turner.

Elizabeth; Will! Why is this happening?

Will: I don't know. You look beautiful.

Elizabeth: it's bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding.

Swann: make way! Let me through!<gets stopped by two soldiers> how dare you! Stand your men down at once. Do you hear me?

Beckett:<turns around and gives his coat to an officer> Governor Weatherby Swann, it's been too long.

Swann: Cutler Beckett?

Beckett; it's Lord now, actually.

Swann:<let's get through> Lord or not, you have no reason and no authority to arrest this man.

Beckett: in fact, I do. Mr Mercer?

Mercer:<hands him some documents>

Beckett: the warrant for the arrest of one William Turner.

Swann:<grabs it and reads it> this warrant is for Elizabeth Swann.

Beckett; is it? That's annoying. My mistake. Arrest her.

Elizabeth:<gets arrested> on what charges?

Beckett: aha. Here's the one for William Turner. <hands it to the Governor> and I have another one for a Mr James Norrington. <holds it up> is he present?

Elizabeth: what are the charges?

Swann: Commodore Norrington resigned his commission some months ago.

Beckett: that wasn't the answer to the question I asked.

Will: Lord Beckett. In the category of questions not answered...

Elizabeth: we are under the jurisdiction of the king's governor of Port Royal and you will tell us what we are charged with.

Swann: the charge is "conspiring to set free men convicted of crimes against the Crown and Empire and condemned to death, for which the..."

Beckett: for which the punishment, regrettably, is also death. Perhaps you remember a certain duo of pirates named Jack and Wade Sparrow.

Both: Captain.

Elizabeth: Captain Jack and Wade Sparrow.

Beckett: Captain Jack and Wade Sparrow. Yes, I thought you might.
