The Kraken

Merchant Ship No POV

Wade and Will were picked up by the merchant ship that Elizabeth was on to get out of Port Royal. Heheh were both given blankets and soup to eat. Wade was glad they didn't recognize him or saw his pirate brand on his neck. Even if this was a merchant ship, he knew they were armed.

Captain; strange to come upon a long boat so far out in open waters.

Will: just put as many leagues behind us as you can. As fast as you can.

Captain: and what are we running from?

Will:<sees Elizabeth's dress and went to it> that dress. Where did you get it?

Captain: it was found aboard the ship. The crew thought it was a spirit bring by some omen of ill-fate.

Wade:<thoughts> if it belongs who I think it belongs to... might as well be.

Will: that's foolish.

Man: oh, yes. Exceedingly foolish.

Sailor: it brought good fortune. The spirit told us, "Pull in at Tortuga," and we made a nice bit of profit there.

Captain; off the books, of course.

Will: I imagine some of your crew may have jumped ship there.

Captain; why do you ask?

Man2:<comes in> Captain! A ship's been spotted.

Captain; colors?

Man2: she isn't flying any.

Captain: pirates.

Will: or worse.

Wade:<widen his eyes>

Flying Dutchman

Jones gripped the cloth that Wade and Will used to replace with the key as he looked at the merchant ship with a glare. He turned and grabbed Bootstrap by his throat with his claw.

Jones: you will watch this.

Jones let him go as the Bosun was whipping some crewmen who were turning a gear to raise a piston.

Jones: let no joyful voice be heard! Let no man look up at the sky with hope. And let this day be cursed by we who ready to wake.. the Kraken.

Bootstrap; NO!

The piston slammed down letting out a drum like sound on the water under the ship.

Merchant ship

Will and Wade started climbing up the mast as the captain grabbed a Spyglass and looked to where the Flying Dutchman was at.

Will: we've doomed us all. It's the Flying Dutchman!

The ship shook as everyone was thrown of their balance. Will almost fell off the mast but Wade caught him and started to lift him back up.

Sailor: oh, Mother Carey's chickens! What happened?

Sailor: must have hit a reef.

Wade gets Will back on top of the mast as everyone looked over the rail.

Captain: free the rudder! Hard to port then hard to starboard.

Old man: free the rudder!

Sailor: hard to port!

They didn't notice their Captain being taken off the ship until they saw one sailor looking terrified and pointing to where their captain was. They turned only to see a giant tentacle getting their captain out of the water before bringing him back under the water.
