Open Sea No POV

The rain started pouring as both the Brethren Court Fleet and the East India Trading Company Armada started sailing towards one another however both the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman were the ones that were going forward the fastest.

Pintel: have you noticed, on top of everything, it's raining?

Ragetti: that's a bad sign.

Gibbs: Man the capstan. Raise the main topyard. Keep that powder dry.

In the middle of both ships trajectory, lightning strikes a spot as a maelstrom formed and both ships were heading towards it.

Gibbs: Maelstrom!

Elizabeth: Captain Barbossa! We need you at the helm.

Barbossa: aye, that be true. <shoves Cotton away and grabs the helm> brace up yards, you cack-handed deck apes. Dying is the day worth living for.

Both ships started going into the maelstrom, of course this not being a typical battle scared Mercer and the company soldiers on the Dutchman.

Mercer: veer off!

Jones: <takes the helm> she'll not harm us. Full-bore and into the abyss.

Mercer: are you mad?

Jones: ha! You afraid to get wet?

Mercer had no choice but to just deal with it as Jones went close to the middle to catapult the Dutchman close to the Pearl who was kind of still sailing around the edge of the maelstrom.

Will: she's on our stern and gaining.

Barbossa: more speed! Haul your wind and hold your water.

The Pearl started going a little further inside but the Dutchman was still gaining on them.

Jones: bow cannons!

The front triple cannons were released and started firing at the Pearl when they had a clear and straight line of fire. It was already hitting the Pearl as one cannonball managed to hit a pirate off the ship. The first casualty of the war.

Will: take us out or they'll overhear us.

Barbossa: nay. Further in. We'll cut across to faster waters.

Elizabeth; prepare to broadside.

The Pearl started going further in gaining speed and getting out of the Dutchman's line of fire.

Gibbs: Captain the guns. Bear a hand.

Will: muster your courage, men. At the ready.

Everyone was loading the cannons as two pirates were using a rope to pull Marty with a barrel of guns towards the top of one of the masts.

Dutchman Brig

Jack: think like the whelp. Think like the whelp. Think like the whelp. Hinges. Hinges. Think Luke the whelp.

Jack 2: half-barrel hinges.

Jack: leverage.

All the Jacks and Wade turned to the door as Jack and Wade used the bench as a small lift as they got the door off the hinges and kicked it down as they got out.

Jack: wish us luck, boys. We'll need it.

Jack 2: I miss them already.

Jack 1: they're quite charming, aren't they?

Cursed Jack: nobody move. I dropped my brain.

Outside

Now both ships were almost on equal opposite sides of the maelstrom.
