Port Royal No POV

Beckett was holding Norrington's sword from the first movie.

Beckett: there's something to knowing the exact shape of the world and one's place in it.

Swann:<in cuffs and without his coat and wig> I assure you, these are not necessary.

Beckett: I thought you'd be interested in the whereabouts of your daughter.

Swann: you have news of her?

Mercer; most recently seen on Tortuga, and left in the company of a known pirate, Jack Sparrow, and other fugitives from Justice.

Swann: "Justice"? Hardly.

Beckett:<sheds the sword> including the previous owner of this sword, I believe. Our ships are in pursuit. <puts the sword and shed back on its box> Justice will be dispensed by cannonade and cutlass, and all manner of remorseless pieces of metal. I find it distasteful to even contemplate the horror facing all those on board.

Swann: what do you want from me?

Beckett: your authority as governor, your influence in London, and your loyalty to the East India Trading Company.

Swann: to you, you mean.

Beckett; shall o remove these shackles?

Swann:<holds his hands forward> do what you can for my daughter.

Beckett gestures to Mercer and Mercer removed the shackles from Swann's wrists.

Beckett: so you see, Mercer, every man has a price he will willingly accept. Even for what he hoped never to sell.

Flying Dutchman

The crew was enjoying some R&R as Wade, Marcus and another pirate were playing Liar's Dice.

Marcus: i wage... ten years.

Pirate: I'll match ten years.

Wade:<puts a sack of chillings in the middle>

Marcus: yes.

Bootstrap:<walks to Will> wondering how it's played?

Will; I understand.

Marcus:<points to Wade> Liar!

Will: it's a game of deception. But your bet includes all the dice, not just your own.

They reveal their five and Marcus lost as the crew laughed at him.

Will: what are they waging?

Bootstrap; oh, the only thing we have. Years of service. Well... Wade anything he has in his pockets.

Will: any crew member can be challenged?

Bootstrap: aye. Anyone.

Will: I challenge Davy Jones.

Everyone looked at him as they heard footstep, each step made the corral under the wood cower as a pirate laughed.

Jones:<walks down the stairs> I accept, mate.

The pirates set up a proper table for the players instead of doing it on the floor as Wade set the cups and dice for them and stood behind Will.

Jones: the stakes?

Will: my soul. An eternity of servitude.

Bootstrap; no!

Jones: against?
