"Sorry for the wait we're packed at the moment," I try to explain. She scoffs rolling her eyes. Who pissed in her fucking cheerios? "Are you kidding me?! I've been waiting forever! You obviously don't know how to do your job!" She screams in my face making me smell her nasty breath.
What the fuck did this lady have for breakfast?
"I know ma'am, and I apologize for the wait but there are other people in front of you that we must serve first," I try my best to explain without slapping the absolute shit out of her. "Get me your manager!" This bitch.

I feel the cold air hitting my face making my nose and cheeks turn bright red. I finally got off work after dealing with the usual snobs and people who have no regard for others. I walk to my car unlock it then get it. I immediately turn the hot air on trying to warm my body.
I slip my phone out of my jacket pocket and see a slip of paper fall out with it. What the hell? I pick up the paper and read what it says on it.
650-427-****
Call me
I thought I felt someone put something in my pocket. I look at the paper contemplating if I should call him.
Girl do it he literally saved your life.
Shut the fuck up.
I punch the number on the paper into my phone with shaky hands. After staring at my phone for over three minutes I finally hit call. Oh dear god, it's ringing. I put my phone up to my ear as it continues ringing.
I bite my nails in anticipation waiting for him to pick up. "Hello?" I hear from the other end. I stay silent regretting my choices. "Hello is anyone there?" He asks. "Uhh yeah um hi," I say nervously hitting myself in the head with my fist. Oh my god, you're so stupid.
"Who is this?" He asks. Oh, shit does he not remember me? "Oh um I'm the girl from the pier," I say my face cringing with my words. "Oh yes, I slipped my number in your pocket to see if you were ok or needed someone to talk to."
Awwww.
"Oh uhh, yeah thanks I just found your number and thought I would call," I say sheepishly. "I'm glad you did. I was actually wondering if you wanted to go out for coffee sometime," he asks. "Well umm I would love to but I have a boyfriend and well-" "No, no not like that I just wanted to see if you're ok," he says cutting me off.
You're the dumbest fucking person in the world- "Oh well then yeah sure," I say full of embarrassment. "Are you free right now?" he asks. "Yeah, I'm free." "Meet me at Tams Cafe in five?" He asks. A smile makes its way to my face as he says Tams Cafe because that's my favorite cafe in this city.
"Yeah that's fine meet you in five," I say then hang up. "Why do I have to be so awkward," I moan dropping my head into my steering wheel setting my horn off.

I step foot into the familiar cafe soaking in the bitter coffee sent. I look around the cafe trying to find him, which is pretty hard considering I didn't see his entire face last night because of how dark it was.
I can only remember his deep blue eyes piercing into mine. His eyes were so beautiful- My thoughts get cut short as I feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn my body to face the person only to find his deep blue eyes in front of me.
He has one of the sharpest jawlines I have ever seen and even sharper blue eyes. His face looks like something out of a storybook. His complections are simply perfect. His black suit making his eyes pop.
"Oh hi," I say letting out a shaky breath. "Want to go get something to drink?" He asks. I nod my head biting my lip in nervousness.
After ordering I start digging in my purse to pay. He did save my life after all. I feel something brush my shoulder as I continue digging. I look up to see him handing a twenty-dollar bill to the barista.
"W-wait, I got it!" I say still digging through my purse. "It's fine, my treat," he says with a small but deep chuckle.
We walk over to a table and sat opposite each other. "How has your day been?" I ask shyly. "Fine, yours?" he asks. "Fine."
"Order for Zane!" We hear a barista call out putting up two coffees on the stand. "I'll get it," He stands up. Zane, such a handsome name.
He sets our two coffees on the table whilst sitting back in his chair. I reach out to take my coffee as he sips his, staring at me intently.
I don't look up, but feel his burning gaze on me.
"So your name is Zane?" I ask taking a sip of my drink. "Yup." "That's nice," I say then mentally cringing at myself.
