I often relate to the sea with misunderstood beauty and secrets deep beneath the surface. But I honestly don't know who I am anymore. I'm not depressed and I definitely don't need therapy. I would rather wait until my problems disintegrate than deal with them, I'm too lazy to run from them physically or mentally. But some problems you just can't run from...
"Are you freaking kidding me!" I whisper-yelled to myself trying to get a book at the top of the bookshelf. "I'm not leaving till I get this damn book! It's a limited edition!" I whisper-yelled to myself.
With a frustrated huff, I looked around to see if anyone could see me—my chance. I went to put my foot on the bottom shelf still checking to see if anyone was around. Just as I was going to hoist myself up to grab the book a voice rang on the intercom.
"Adelaide, I swear If I see you trying to climb another one of my bookshelves again your banned!" Albert's voice echoed across the store promptly making me fall from the bookshelf. "God damn you! I almost got it!" I yelled getting up off the floor. I dusted myself off and walked back over to the bookshelf.
"Adelaide I will ban you!" He threatened. "You said that the last three times!" I yelled back at him putting my fits on my hips. "It's not my fault your bookshelves are a million feet tall," I whispered.
I looked up at my book longingly until I heard footsteps coming my way. I look to see Albert and all his 4'11 glory angrily coming up to me. Oh god.
"Adelaide, when are you going to stop using my bookstore as your personal jungle gym?" he asked angrily. "When I get a foot taller, AND I don't use this magnificent bookstore as a jungle gym! I was simply trying to get a book I couldn't reach," I defend myself.
"So all the books are on the top shelf? Because it seems every time you're in here I find footprints on my shelves and you almost get yourself killed because you hit your head on a wall from trying to grab a book!" He angrily said.
"All your good ones are at the top, It's not my fault!" I crossed my arms over my chest "Adelaide I don't want you getting hurt," he said in a much softer tone. I uncrossed my arms looking at him. He loves me. "Sorry," I apologized. "Thank you, just don't do it again," he said walking away.
I watched him turn the corner as I went to get back up on the shelf. "Adelaide I know what you're doing!" He yelled on the other side of the bookstore. "Dammit!"

After trying for what felt like years to get the book I almost gave up. It hurts your dignity when you ask people taller than you to get something down. So I try and refrain from that as much as possible.
I lay on the floor dramatically waiting for my telekinesis to kick in so I can get the book down. I start to hear heavy footsteps walking my way as I continue to lie on the floor. "Do you need help getting a book down?" I hear a gruff voice say.
I look up to see a man with deep red hair leaning over me with his hands on his knees. "Oh my God thank you! Yes, I do!" I got up dusted myself off then pointed to the book I want. "This one?" he asks with his large hand over the book. "Yes, that's the one!" I almost yell in excitement.
"Here you go." He says handing the book to me. "Thank you!" I tell him hugging the book to my chest. He walks away as I look at the book.
My smile went as soon as it came. It was the wrong book. "God Dammit!"
