This was bad, Summer thought as Molly helped her pick out gowns. She was indeed with child but could not stop coughing blood and did her best to hide the pain in her head. It had been a chilly day out because the rains fell down the other night. Summer was used to it and wore short sleeves but got cold and draped her scarf over her chilled arms. She remembered how her mother was, coughing up blood and was ill but she still tried to keep herself to strength to please Mr Crade. The beatings and illness concluded the death of her mother. Summer was 2 months pregnant and things went by fast. Just last month Henry began to build an extra place to their home and Mason spent time learning how to speak. His speech had been better. Everytime he came home, he read stories outloud. Summer got out of her thoughts and stepped outside the curtain showing her friends the dress
My gosh! Oh you look absolutely dreadful; Caroline said and Summer chuckled. She had looked awful. It was a purple dress with feathers all over almost as if a child stuck them on with tar
Here try this one; Elliot said pulling a baby blue dress with elegant white flowers
Oh its beautiful; Summer said
Go. try it; The girls said and she went into the room then when she came out of the room they all stood agape
That one; Henry said
What are you doing here? Its quite vulgar and prude of you to see a women without her coat; Elliot said
Out get get get shoo; Molly said
Summer sat there and laughed as they all shooed Henry away
Now this shall be it; Molly said
Its on me; Elliot smiled at her
Thanks. Your a wonderful maker; Summer asked
About 3 or 4 months; Caroline nodded
We have something; Elliot said pulling out two velvet girls dresses
Oh my! How could I ever thank you? These are so darling; Summer smiled and hugged Elliot
No, need. It keeps my hands full; Elliot said
Alright well you better get going. Your spouse is making funny faces through the window; Caroline said pointing to Henry who stuck his tongue out at her. Summer covered her mouth in an embarassed laugh as Elliot hit Henry with a newspaper and said "Thats unladylike and prude" making the towns people look at Summer curiously. She then waved goodbye to the girls and held Henrys hand to walk home.
