It was 2 days after Kennedy and Veronica were born that things had really changed for Summer. She began growing colder and weaker but she put on a show to stay strong and she was blessed that she had two boobs for each kid. It was a stressful job but Henry made sure that Summer had a huge breakfast. They even had leftovers sometimes.
Mama soon has to go but I promise you that I will be right there; Summer looked down at Edi. In a weeks time, Summer knew that her death date was coming. It scared her for the fate of everyone but she knew the townies and her friends would help. After the girls ate, she put them in a crib that Elliot gave her. Elliot and Summer had been so close lately that she had learned Elliot was actually French. Summer stopped thinking and started to heave blood. It was coming up refusing to stop. She knew well that it was not consumption because it would have hurt everyone that she was around. When Summer finally got it to stop, she had to tell Henry because if not, she feared he may never forgive her. Summer walked outside and saw Henry along with Maddy and Mason playing
Henry, can I speak to you for a moment; Summer called
Be right there honey; He said back then got up while the kids played on the lawn
When I tell you what it is, I don't want you to be scared. Sometimes things happen in life that are meant to be. I know well now that my time on this earth is up and that nearby family will protect you; Summer said
It sounds like you saying your dying; Henry said
I am. I have the same illness as my mother once did. In a week, I will be gone; Summer said
She didn't understand why Henry did but he held her to his chest closely. Summer sense he was scared but understood things well
Im not going to recover; Henry said
You have to. You have 3 children now and you have people who will be willing to help you; Summer said
I only just met you. Why does heaven want you; Henry asked
We spent a 14 months and 3 days together. Thats a lifetime for me. You gave me everything; Summer kissed Henry
Your my everything; Henry said
When I pass, give my dresses to the girls and Maddy included; Summer said looking at Maddy who was playing with wooden cars
I love you; Henry said
I love you more; Summer held his arm and coddled him on the porch swing. He took the news well but she could see it in his eyes that he was crying and trying to hold it together. They had indeed spent more than enough time to together for her to know she was loved
