Natsuki POV

I made my way down the corridor on the third floor. It was a floor that I did not often go down, since it was reserved for seniors and clubrooms, so I was hopelessly lost. I was walking as fast as I could, I couldn't be late on the first day at the club. My papa told me that first impressions were everything, and I couldn't disagree.

Just as I was starting to feel as though I would never find the stupid clubroom, I passed a door that read "The Literature Club" with "President: Monika" printed underneath. I would have missed it if I hadn't heard a shout of laughter coming from it. Through the frosted glass, I could see two blurry shapes with the colours of our school uniform. One blur had a prominant red mark.

*Knock Knock*

"Come in!" A voice exclaimed from inside. As I opened the door, I saw two girls, one at the front writing on the chalk board, with the other sitting on a desk swinging her legs. The girl sitting at the desk was the one with the red mark (which turned out to be a cute bow) had a messy sory of look to her, her coral chin length hair was tangled and stuck up a bit, and her blazer was unbuttoned. The girl at the board who I knew at once was Monika couldn't be more different: her uniform was perfect, and her brown hair was pulled into a perfect ponytail with a white bow.

I was quite taken aback that Monika, who was very popular and up until now I though was in the presigeous debate club, was in this tiny club. I hadn't even known there was a literature club until I overheard some people talk about it just yesterday. I didn't even know that Monika was into literature.

"Hey." I said, standing awkwardly at the door. Both these girls were staring at me and I felt annoyed. Why did they have to stare like that?

But then Monika smiled, which made my annoyance melt away. "Hello, are you interested in joining the club?" She sounded hopeful, which I could harldy blame her for, a club with only two members is hardly a club.

"Uh yeah." I said, "I'm Natsuki."

"I'm Monika," She said with an even wider smile, "And this is Sayori."

I nodded and said, "Hey," to Sayori, who grinned and waved. "Hii!" She squealed. I decided that I liked Sayori, and Monika. They both seemed nice.

"Uh, you see I-" I started, but I was interrupted by a breathless yet calm voice from behind me.
