The rising sun peaks over the stone wall surrounding Camelot. I yawn, watching the Royal Guards load my belongings into the carriage. As I'm waiting, I'm joined by my brother Arthur, the King of Camelot. He puts a gentle hand on my shouder.

"I can't believe you're really doing it." he says, studying the carriage. I turn to him, slightly confused. "Whatever do you mean, brother?" His tired gaze meets my equally tired eyes. "You're really leaving. I can't believe you're going to teach at that school." he explains. I scoff. "You mean the school your own son will be attending in the next few days?" I reply. He rolls his eyes.

A short amount of time passes. As Arthur is checking the carriage to make sure it's as safe as possible, I hear light footsteps creep up behind me. I turn. "Hey little prince." I say, welcoming my nephew over. Tedros scrunches his face up at the name. "Come on, Aunt Y/n. I'm sixteen. That's not little." I laugh and pull him in for a hug. "You're still little to me." I reply as he hugs me back.

As Arthur walks back over to us, Tedros steps back to give him space to stand. He looks me in the eyes and says nothing. As I'm about to speak, he pulls me into a tight embrace. "I'm going to miss you, sister." he says, sadness plaguing his voice. Arthur's words cause Tedros to look towards the ground. "I'm going to miss you too, brother." I reply, tears welling in my eyes. All but a few moments later, we're met by a guard. "Excuse me, your Royal Highness. Your carriage awaits." he says with a bow.

I look to Tedros and rub his arm. "I'll see you in a few days, buddy." He nods, his lips forming a slight smile. I give Arthur one last hug and we walk over to the carriage. Before I climb in, I turn back to Arthur. "Your majesty." I say with a curtsy. I climb in and take a seat. Leaning towards the window, I make eye contact with Arthur. "Don't worry big brother, you've got this. I'll write to you once I get there." I say, sniffling. Tears form in his eyes. He quickly wipes them away. I chuckle softly. He nods. "I know." He looks at Tedros, then back at me. "Take care of Tedros for me, will you?" he asks. The tense muscles in my face soften. "Of course I will. You know that." He smiles with a slight nod.

I blow them both a kiss as I lean back into my seat. Several tears roll down my cheeks. I let them sit there for a second before wiping them away. I nod to the guard standing at the door, who then signals for the coachman to go. Within seconds the carriage is moving, and with that, more tears start rolling.

The first four hours of the trip go smoothly. It doesn't take too long for the waterworks to call it quits. I dry my eyes and fix my make-up. Shortly after noon, we stop for a break. A Royal guard opens the door and offers a hand, to which I politely take. As I stretch my legs, a boy who can't be anything but a year older than Tedros catches my eye. I make my way over to him. "Your Royal Highness." he says, with a confident bow. I smile at him and nod. "And what's your name, young sir?" I ask as he fixes his posture. "Benjamin, Your Royal Highness." he replys with a smile. "Please, Benjamin. You can call me Y/n." I tell him. He looks at me confused. "But you're a Princess." he states. I laugh. "You're very right, I am a Princess." I agree. "Wouldn't me calling you your name be considered rude?" he asks, concerned. I take a second to think. "You may be correct. Call me Miss Y/n, if that makes you feel any better." He nods in agreement.

"So, Benjamin, how old are you?" I ask, biting into an apple. His gaze meets mine. "Seventeen, Miss." he answers. A slightly shocked look creeps onto my face. "You're so young!" I exclaim. "Yes, Miss. My mother says the same thing." he breathes out. "Why did you join the Royal Guards?" I ask, interested. "My father. He was apart of it while I was young, but had to leave last year due to him falling ill." he explains. Poor kid. "You're very brave, Benjamin. How is your father?" I say. He smiles at me. "He's doing a lot better. Still too ill to go back to work, but better." I smile sympathetically. "Good to hear."
