Zelda, accompanied by Link, tried to unlock her powers. She travelled to every reinforce spring, those being the Spring of Power, the Spring of Courage, and the Spring of Wisdom.

Her first endeavour was to the Spring of Power, at which she prayed at regularly for a while before realizing it wasn't working. She made her way back to the spring one last time to beg to the Goddess Hylia for a key to unlock her power. There was no answer, and she was forced to move on.

Next, she travelled all the way to the Spring of Courage, which was decorated with statues and likenesses of dragons scattered and engulfing the entire spring. Zelda prayed to the Goddesses for help, but again, there was no reply. Time was drawing nearer and nearer to Zelda's sixteenth birthday- so near, in fact, that Link had already turned seventeen- and so they set off for their final hope.

On Zelda's sixteenth birthday, the Champions congregated at the base of Mount Lanayru. Zelda, accompanied by Link as always, silently climbed the path up the mountain to the final spring, the Spring of Wisdom. There she sat and prayed for the whole day, emerging from its waters with nothing once more. Zelda and Link made their way back down the mountain to the eager Champions awaiting their return. Zelda was immediately bombarded with questions surrounding her power, but she simply shook her head. She had failed her father. Just then, Mipha spoke up, finally realizing just how similar she was to the princess. Just as she began to stumble through her suggestion of another way to unlock the sealing power, a continent-shaking rumble came from the direction of Hyrule Castle, followed by a bone-quaking roar. Revali used his updraft to see what was going on, and he spotted a huge monster made it up malice swirling around the castle, destroying everything in its path.

Once the Champions had finished the quickest team meeting in the history of team meetings, they set off to their own Divine Beasts to show that "Swirling Swine" who was boss. Zelda and Link made their way back to the castle, however useless Zelda would be in a fight, but they were both stopped when a possessed Guardian targeted the already tired-out Link.

He raised his shield one last time and as the Guardian shot at him, Zelda raised her hand to the sky. In that moment, her sealing power unlocked, and she was able to seal away the malice around the castle temporarily. The Sheikah guards that were near Hyrule castle carried Link to the Shrine of Resurrection, and Zelda stayed, going into the castle to use her power and seal Ganon away... For good.
