April pushed by the crowd with Rin inside her jacket, frantically trying to weave her way. They were at the school cafeteria another day at school and they were about to tell the goat yokai the news, the urgent one.
"Baron Draxum, we have a code red," April cried, desperately.
"It's bad," Rin peeped.
"I'm dealing with the situation, O'Neil," Draxum growled, trying to take care of buisness.
He still hadn't controlled his power like threatening some kids to pick up the napkin when they dropped it on the floor. "Draxum, you promise not to use your yokai powers in front of people," Rin whispered, narrowing her eyes.
"But it makes things so much more efficient," Draxum protested. "Why shouldn't I?"
"Because of this letter I found in your mailbox." April replied, pulling out a letter from her backpack.
"My mailbox. What is a mailbox?" the yokai asked, confused.
"Something that some letters people put in," Rin explained. "And they come from a post office."
Draxum begins to read it. "The lunch lady association is honored to declare Barry Draxum lunch person of the month for his excellence in lunchroomery."
"And the superintendent of lunchrooms, Vivian Slopworth, is coming together to present your reward," April finished.
Draxum is pleased. "This is marvelous! It's about time the human worms show the great Baron Draxum the respect he commands."
"No, this is bad," April said.
"Do you want to blow your cover?" Rin whispered. "Because that's what's gonna happen if Slopworth sees how you run things."
"What is wrong with how I run things?"
Draxum leads April and Rin to the dirty kitchen but the two weren't expecting that it could be a big mess. Grim and slime drip from the counters as a tentacle emerges from the pots. Some Silverfish are trying to clean the place up and chitter to one another. Draxum hired the mutant bugs to clean and cook in the kitchen.
"I find this warm moist ecosystem really keeps the baloney soft," he said.
"You just scattered so much green goop all over the place," Rin protested, looking at the place in disgust. "Jeez. It looks like a big mess. It's like being in a dirty basement with melted ooze all over the floor."
April shuddered. "Uh.... Oh, boy. If the big boss sees this mystic stuff, you're outta here," she told him. "We need help." April took out her phone and dialed Mikey. Maybe he can come and help them with this mess. "Mikey, we have a code double red," she called. "The superintendent of lunchrooms is coming to tour Draxum's kitchen."
"I can't hear you, April. I'm saving New York."
"It looks like you're go-karting."
"I'm not go-karting and I still can't hear you!"
He hung up and static appeared on her phone. Rin could hear crashing from it like somebody crashed into his kart and then, silence.
"I guess he's no help," the sea turtle said, shrugging. Looks like the two girls had to do it themselves without the turtles' help.
"Okay, we have got to clean this up before Slopworth gets here," said April to the goat yokai.
"You mean her?" Drauxm asked, lifting his magic mirror.
In the mirror, there was a brown haired woman in a red business suit and she was just outside the cafeteria. She must have arrived early.
"What the heck did she come here this early?!" Rin asked in surprise.
