First Date

"And that is how Shira and Leo are gonna head out on a date," Manako finished. She and Mikey visit Hueso about the date Leo and Shira are gonna have. It started like a normal day until Manako had learned that Shira was preparing to go on a date with Leo. She recalled that Leo asked her if she wanted to go on a date back at the Nexus Hotel. It has been a few weeks and they still haven't gotten to spend their time off with each other. "And it has to be a real perfect date."

Hueso raised an eyebrow, confused and not sure if the idea might work. "So Leo asked Miss Shirahara for a date and it has to be perfect? Ha. It kinda reminded me of the people dating on the Day of the Dead."

"Leo planned his date on his list," Mikey said as he started to pull out a list. Leo had listed everything on the list to do his date with Shira. "He said that he needs to meet her at the Hidden City Gardens since we have seen it here ourselves. After that, they might go on a picnic at the plains. And at dusk, Leo would take her Mermaid Lagoon."

Ari began to coo, saying to give Hueso a chance. In response, the skeleton sighed. "Okay, I will help."

In the sea turtle's lair, Shira started to look through the drawers for her best handkerchief hat. She was about to get ready for her date with Leo and she was desperate to meet him. She managed to put on a pretty pink dress and her best shoes. She looked at one drawer and found her hat. It was a bright blue cloth with a few seashell patterns on it. Tomoka had sewed it for herself.

"Finally," she sighed and began to put it on.

"You going somewhere?" Manako asked her sister, smiling smugly.

Shira hasn't got the time to see her sister ask her. "I am getting ready for my date."

"Don't you worry," the green sea turtle assured her. "I am sure it will go perfectly." She started to push her outside as Shira yelped, her eye wide with surprise. "Now just find Leo. He must be looking for you."

Shira wasn't sure what had gotten into her sister, but she did have to hurry on.

Mikey, Hueso, Manako and Ari are in the Hidden City park as the group watch Leo, looking for Shira. He is carrying a basket and a blanket just in case they go out for lunch. He was nervous but Mikey assured him that things are gonna be fine based on his personal personality.

"You know, it will never work," Hueso complained.

"What are you talking about?" Manako asked.

"I mean, I had a feeling things are not gonna go well. He is a land turtle and Miss Shira is a-"

"A sea turtle," Mikey informed him. "They are both reptiles, but it doesn't matter what type of turtle they are."

"She's gotta make Leo fall in love with her," Manako agreed, "and he's gotta kiss her."

On that cue, Shira had arrived in time and Leo spotted her. He ran up to her and smiled.

"Shira, you came just in time," He began to hug her and kiss her cheek.

"I know, sugar muffin," she squeaked. "I had so much to tell you for the date."

The turtles giggled as the two turtles decided they should head to the park, it was their most favorite time they should go.

The park is actually the first part to get Shira and Leo to be attracted by the flowers. Manako had once grown lots of flowers but somehow, she never liked the spiders since they were spinning their webs between them. So she picked out the loveliest flowers she could pick out, including Shira's favorite.
