Battle Nexus: New York

It all began in a warm sunset. The group is on the sky tower, overlooking the entire city of New York. The breeze filled the air with light and sound.

"Guys, guys, get a photo of me dropping a hibernator on Big Spikey," Raph called out, "and Big Blinky and jolly Green Torch Guy." As he chattered over to get him in the photo, the snapping turtle fell over, knocking over a trash can, bursting it apart. Reika laughed hard, she almost collapsed, too.

The others ignored those who were wearing their jackets and hats they had worn on. Splinter was in his Randall clothing and Yinu, Lucario and Draxum were wearing coats on them. Beside April, Absol, Nymphia, Spirit and Maizie are wearing their brooches as Oria, Medusa and Kurage poke their heads out of Rin's bag.

"This family needs to learn more about its hometown," April said, determined holding her camera. She opened up her bag to reveal a list of locations. "Which is why I entered us in a city-wide photo scavenger hunt. And we're gonna win."

"It surely is fun to play around, huh?" Tomoka smiled.

"Isn't the Statue of Liberty amazing?" Manako sighed to Shira. She leaned on the railing staring at the giant blue statue.

"Yes. She sure is pretty."

The others went back inside the elevator as Mikey checked the list in his hand. "So what do we win when we win?" he asked.

"Secret. The only currency that matters in this city," Splinter said.

"And we'll do it with our special brand of teamwork," Leo grinned, "where my brothers and sisters do the work but we share equal credit."

"Can we hurry this along?" Draxum asked, annoyed and tired. "I left Sloppy Joseph in charge of my kitchen."

"Okay, honey. Just hang on," Rin tried to calm him down as April grinned. Oria was on Rin's shoulder, squeaking.

"Yeah, that's on you, Barry."

Unaware of the danger that they are gonna get into, the sky began to darken as a huge object floating in the area. The people looked up and wondered what was happening up there. It seemed though that this sphere appeared out of nowhere. Red thunder crackled as the sky suddenly turned red. Tentacles started to sprout from the darkness and lunged at the humans. They screamed and tried to run away before the tentacles snatched them.

As the elevator stopped, the group exited the building.

Raph stepped out first. "Okay, team... What? Wait a second...."

With confused blinking eyes, the Turtles looked around the area. The city was very abandoned. No human was here, not even animals. All that's left is nothing but stuff left lying on the ground. It looked like a deserted place.

"What on earth happened here?" Shira asked, looking around. Kurage, Oria and Medusa climb out of Rin's bag and look around.

Leo glared at Donnie. "Donnie, what did you do?"

Tomoka stepped in in defense. "It wasn't his fault. Someone took them."

Then an odd laughter echoed around the city, catching everyone's attention.

Flapping in alart, Shira's pink eye went wide when she recognized that liaghter. "That voice," she murmured. She remembered too easily, the one with the spider fur and those six glowing red eyes. Then on the screen was Big Mama in her human form.

"Big Mama?!"

'Ladies and gentlemen, it's the moment you've been waiting for," she announced. "My long promised fantastic Wizbang: Battle Nexus: New York."
