The guys just stared at me as I snickered. "See you at the sandlot, if you're not too caught up making out so your girlfriends," I said, turning on my heel and walking back to the table where Benny was at. I sat down, sighing and laughing a bit. "I don't know when they'll be coming back to the sandlot," I said, glancing back at their table. Benny shook his head slightly. "They love baseball- they'll come around eventually," he reassured me.

"Yeah," I started. "When their 'girlfriends' find new guys to hang around." Benny chuckled a bit, then tiredly sighed. "It's getting pretty hot out, should we head back?" I asked, wiping my forehead slightly. He nodded, standing up from his chair. I stood up as well, following him out.

"Wanna go hang out at the sandlot?" I asked Benny. He shrugged and nodded, and I grinned. "Cool, let's go then," I said, walking in the direction of the sandlot.

We stopped by the store to grab a few cold cokes before proceeding to the sandlot. As we walked, I couldn't help but notice Phillips and his posse stalking us from a ways away. I nudged Benny in the side and told him to look behind him, causing him to sigh in annoyance.

"Just what we need," I muttered as they drew nearer. Phillips hopped off his dumb polished bike and kicked dirt at our feet, trying to be cool. I just scoffed at his actions, and overall just him. "Something we can help you with, Miss?" I asked, making Benny chuckle slightly. "We want a rematch of the last game," he said rudely, shoving me after. "Did you just shove me?" I threatened him. Benny stepped closer to us.

"Maybe I did. But what're you gonna do about it, huh? You're just a girl after all."

That, over everything he's ever said to me, made me the most furious.

"You wanna repeat that, Phillips?" I asked with bold edge in my voice. All he did was raise his eyebrows like he was the coolest person alive.

"I said," he started. "what're you gonna do about it? You're just a girl."

With that, I attacked him.

I leaped forwards, throwing punches everywhere. "Come here so I can beat your ass!" I yelled to the point where it was almost screaming. Benny ran at me and grabbed my arm, yanking me off Phillips. I had managed to split Phillips' lip open, making me feel a lot more proud of my outburst. I caught my breath as Phillips and his stupid posse scrambled away with their fancy bikes.

Benny just looked at me, then smiled. "You can definitely kick ass, that's for sure," he said.

I just smiled.
