Kenny threw the ball at amazing speed. My head whipped in the direction where Ham stood ready to blast the ball. He did. Great. The ball soared into the air, and what do you know, over the fence.
"Aw man, Ham!" We all yelled. We threw our gloves at the red head running the bases. "Great goin', now we can't play no more!" Benny yelled at Ham. Ham was laughing hysterically, continuing to run the bases.
We all sighed. I snapped my head up from looking at the dusty ground. "Hey, guys!" I yelled brightly. "What," the all said. "So, I figured this would happen, so I brought a spare ball," I replied. They all cheered and gathered around me. I took it out of the small bag I brought along. "And Ham," I started. "You're not allowed to hit this one," I said and we all laughed.
