Chapter 2:

*Niall's P.O.V*

She had a cold heart. I could tell by the way she acknowledged the Salvation Army volunteer. That was all the proof I needed. She's not good for me. Her emotionless, careless, conceited actions were enough for anyone to turn away from, especially me. She's not like me, simple as that. But there was something about her that I couldn't get away from. Her deep auburn eyes showed no sign of a saint. Her dark, luscious locks held not a bit of gratitude. But there was something about her, I don't know what, that lit a spark of passion burning deep in my soul that I couldn't deny. Its going to be a challenge and as much as I hate to do so, I have to put it out. Not only for my sake, but her humanity.

*Eve's P.O.V*

"No Riah, you don't understand. There's something different about him!" I yelled through the phone.

"Eve come on! That's ridiculous! You honestly think that this so called 'Niall' is supernatural?" Riah complained.

"You don't get it Riah! I've never seen anyone so... gorgeous and... Wonderful. I can't comprehend how beautiful he was. The grace when he walked was just heavenly. I can't describe it." My mind was tied up trying to explain the effect this man had on me.

"Heavenly?! Oh my goodness!" She laughed. "What is he an angel?"

Her sarcastic tone irritated me.

"I don't know what he is! But he's not like me at all. I can't let myself fall for him, as much as I'd like too." I whispered the last phrase trying to hide my vulnerability but failing.

"Whatever!" Riah replied. Her tone was typical for a best friend. She loved giving me a hard time but now wasn't a good moment.

"Not now Riah!" I snapped.

"Well sorry Little Miss Drama!" She burst out laughing at her joke that I didn't find the least bit funny. "Well I've got to go. Text me later if you'd like." She said.

"Will do! Bye!" I signed off with important things on my mind.
