'I haven't officially hung out with you in months and you look like shit,' Colton makes no attempt to make me feel better. 'You were fine a couple days ago at the game when you went against my school, but now?'
'I'm only here for so long. Yet Brylan has been avoiding me for, four days.' I confide in him.
'Why? What did you do?' He automatically assumes I'm to blame. That's says a lot. He's not wrong either so I chose not to call him out on it to save my pride.
'I wish I could tell you.' I stare at my hands. 'I was with her and she asked me some questions about one of my friends and then just stopped talking to me.'
'Maybe she left you for him.' He laughs which makes me roll my eyes.
'As far as I know Brylans straight,' I toss one of his Lego pieces to him.
'What? Backtrack.' He catches the peice I threw at him which is something I notice. His reflexes got along better since he started training with Duke. All my attacks on him used to land, last year it would've hit him in the face. 'Your girl randomly calls you about one of the woman you're friends with? Now she's not talking to you? What did she ask you about?'
'I don't know? Asked me who she was and I just said she was just a friend.' I'm honest because I wasn't lying when I told her that.
'Is that all you said?'
'Well that's all she is to me?' I sit up. 'What else should I have to said about her?'
'You're such a fucking idiot.' He laughs. 'For someone with so much sexual experience with woman you don't know much about how they feel.'
'Stop making me feel like crap, you made it clear that I fucked up.' Fiddling with one of his Lego pieces, it acts as a destresser.
Apparently Colton mentioned how cool he found Legos to Katie once and she keeps buying them for him. I asked him why he doesn't tell her to stop and he just said it makes her happy when he builds them so he does it anyways.
Except now I'm dragged into it since he wants me to build a Lego Millennium Falcon with him since he couldn't figure it out. Katie somehow found it for less than half its original price and bought him one. At first it was cute, little pieces but now he's sitting here trying to build a detailed star-wars ship out of Lego. He's so focused, too focused. I doubt he's enjoying it but how do you refuse a gift like that? It probably costed a couple hundred dollars but it's clear that he's grateful. He truly just wants her to be happy so he's building it anyways instead of brushing it to the side.
'I've never been in a romantic relationship so I've never had to worry about what I did,' I sigh. 'So I'm not the best at this but I'm trying to be good for her.'
'To put it into simple terms.' Colton mumbles as he peices two chunks of Lego together. He's pretty much doing it on his own at this point. 'She didn't ask you those questions because she didn't know the answer. She asked you because she wanted to know what you'd say,'
