We ended up leaving early. He said I seemed uncomfortable being there and he wasn't exactly wrong. But it wasn't to the extent of actually leaving. I was willing to wait it out. It was a birthday party for Christ sake, you only have one a year. I felt too bad to ask to leave.Turning on the tap I spit into the sink. 'I feel bad.' I confide in him as I search the countertop for mouthwash. 'I made you leave.'
'I don't remember you asking to go?' He opens the glass cabinet. Handing me the mouthwash I don't exactly ask him how he knew what I was looking for. 'I do remember telling you that we're leaving early if that's what you mean,'
That's true. Once again I snuck away from him but he eventually found me talking to some guy who approached me. Apparently it's a teammate of Damon's but when he saw us he went crazy on the guy. Long story short. He has a track record of not being the most faithful to his friends when it came to their girlfriends.
He was pissed off but he remained a lot calmer than he usually would be. I guess it was because the guy hadn't actually done anything besides talk to me. He's also he's teammate so landing a finger on him would get him into shit. We left almost immediately afterwards. Not getting upset at me he just seemed stressed. Now we're back at his place and by this point I've sat him down on the toilet seat now that we've brushed our teeth for the night.
'Does it hurt to take off?' He double checks with be as I place a pore strip across his nose.
'Have you never put on a pore strip?' I'm a little startled by the question.
I'd figured everyone has in this day and age. They're the staple of any basic skincare routine. Though I doubt he has one, I've never once seen a damn impurity on this man's skin. I'd be surprised if he even knew what a pimple looked like.
'I wash my face with water every morning and that's about it. I've never really used skincare products.'
'Just water? Wow. I envy you.'
'I mean. I'm not gross. I do use soap.' He backtracks. I remain focused on pressing down on the strip that I applied earlier. 'I use those super convenient ones...the ones you use for everything.'
'You use three in one soap?' That somehow makes me even more jealous. 'The fact that you wash your face with soap that can also be used to wash your hair, makes it worse.'
Pausing he corrects himself. 'I've done a few face masks with Katie and...' he trails off which makes me frown.
'Who? Sophia?' I press down on the strip once more before ripping it off. Immediately apologizing when he jerks his head to the side.
'Tegan! Brylan, it was with Tegan.' He rubs his nose which makes me feel shitty. I shouldn't have assumed. 'Sophia uses this all natural skin shit that she gets from this weird ass store. I'd rather die than let it touch my skin.'
