Asher
The weather is getting colder. The new year is almost around the corner. On a cold day, the best thing to do is to have a hot cup of coffee. I'm walking to a coffee shop, and as I opened the door, I noticed Amelia walking into a bookstore near the coffee shop.
She noticed me and I began to approach her. I can't let this chance to talk to her slide. I was the first to greet her, and she smiled in return.
"Are you going to buy a book?" I questioned, and she nodded. I'm not sure what's wrong with me. Every time I meet her, I have to hear her voice and see her smile.
"Were you going to the coffee shop?" She asked, still smiling. I nodded.
"Do you like to read, Asher?" She asked once again.
"Yes, sometimes," I replied.
"What kinds of books do you read?" She seemed to be very curious.
"I mostly read romance novels," I replied again. Her eyes widened.
"You read romance books?" She looked surprised.
"Well, you see, Sofia recommended some of her favorite books to me, so I had to read them." I enjoy reading a lot of books, but I don't want to make her bored.
"Wow, this is kind of surprising information," she exclaimed.
"Can you recommend some of your favorites to me?" I want to know everything about her. She actually told me a lot when I drove her home, but I'd like to know more.
She grabbed my wrist and dragged me into the bookstore. I would have become angry if it hadn't been for her, but instead I grinned.
"Is everything okay?" I questioned.
"Yes, everything is perfect," she replied, glancing at the store's vitrine. For some reason, she seemed cautious.

Amelia
I just saw my father. I'm not sure what he's doing outside when it's work time. I really hope he didn't notice us. If he saw us, I'd be dead. He's not going to let this one go; he'll definitely kick me out.
"Is that your father?" He asked.
"How did you know?" I questioned.
"You've been looking at him the entire time." He paused before continuing, "He's definitely the reason you dragged me here so he wouldn't see us, right?"
Was it that obvious? I nodded. "Since we're in a bookstore, why don't you buy yourself all the books you need?" He smiled. I'm not buying books in front of him.
"No, it's fine. I'll come back later." I replied.
"Don't be shy; you can take your time." He smirked.
"I know exactly what romance books have." He paused before continuing, "After all, I have read some of them."
He knows what I'm going to buy, but I'm not going down easily. "Who said anything about buying romance novels?" I lied.
"I came here to get some kids books for my niece. That's why I want some privacy." I also added.
"There's no need to be concerned; I'm an expert on these kinds of books. I also have a nephew." He stated.
Fine, I'll get the kids' books. "Please help me." I smiled at him.
The next thing I knew, I was standing next to him, trying to pick up children's stories. People kept staring at us, and I was mortified. He chose some books for Luke, and I did the same for Lily. I guess I'll have to visit Stella soon.
"Thank you so much for your help." I said as we headed outside.
"I'm also sorry for dragging you here when you were on your way to the coffee shop." I also added.
"No, there is no need to be concerned about that. I enjoy your company, Amelia." He paused before continuing, "My precious moments are always with you." He smiled warmly until his brown eyes twinkled, and I noticed something else.
He has dimples.
