Asher

I can't get her out of my head. That's not the problem. The problem is that I don't hate it, and the biggest problem is that she might be taken.

I clenched the steering wheel as the thought occurred to me. God, I can't even describe how perfect she is. She's unforgettable.

I don't mind if she takes my heart as well. I really want to drive over to my sister's house and just keep watching her, however I really don't want her to feel uncomfortable, especially after she had asked Sofia to keep men out of the house.

I think it's related to the man who picked her up yesterday. Honestly, what caused her to freak out after reading that text he probably sent her?

When you fall in love with someone, that person takes over all of your thoughts. Worse, I have no idea what to do with my feelings. Should I keep them to myself and end up regretting it? or spit them out and face the consequences?

I need help, but I can't ask Sofia because she's the type to tease you to death. Instead, I know exactly who I'm supposed to ask.

"Hear me out; life is so hard. I mean harder than you could ever imagine. Now that you're out of your "I'm handsome, so I can pull any girl I want" phase and face the reality of being rejected, you'll need to adjust and prepare for the worst. Welcome to our reality; it sucks, but you're gonna love it."

I regret speaking with him; he's worse than my sister. Right, I haven't introduced you to Henry, my secretary. He's an introvert. When it comes to love and girls, he has it worse than I do. Never talked to, never confessed to, and he never even dated. He's the worst when it comes to flirting with women.

"It seems you don't have any advice for me," I look up for a second only to see him grinning.

"Why are you smiling?" I asked.

"I should tell the entire world that the most desired bachelor, Asher Harper, was rejected by his nephew's teacher." He laughed.

"I should've never spoken to you." I sigh.

"I'm not being paid to be your therapist; find one for yourself." He said.

"Asher, I need to speak with you." Sofia pushed open the door without knocking.

"Sofia, how many times do I have to remind you to knock before entering?"  She always does it on purpose.

"Let me count, this is probably the thousand and fifty-twoth time you've told me to knock?" She stated with confidence.

"I think I said it more than that, but what are you doing here?" I questioned.

"I need your help," she said right away. I'm not surprised; it's not the first time she's gotten into trouble with some clients.

"Look, Sofia, you should learn from your mistakes; just apologize to the client and ask them to wait till you fix whatever you've done." I said this even though I knew I'd fix her mistake without her knowing.

"No. It's not about me. It's Amy." She spoke while looking worried.

"I'm listening." I heard Henry holding his laughter, I glared at him, and then he just left.

"You see, the thing is she's not answering my calls, and I'm worried that something has happened to her." She looked down for a moment before returning her gaze to me.

"Seriously, Sofia? It's Saturday, and you know Amelia doesn't work on Saturdays. So why on earth is she supposed to respond? And it's 9 a.m.; she's probably asleep by the time we are talking." I said.

She blinked twice before smirking. Not that evil smile, please. I know exactly what will happen next.

"You seemed to be more concerned than I was. You also know more about her than I do." Here we go again.

"It's not like that at all. I was only spitting facts. Besides, if you had used your brain a little more, you would have come to the same conclusions." I gave a mischievous grin.

"Fine, I'll let it slide this time because you won, but you'll be teased for eternity the next time." She walked away, and before she closed the door, I said, "You're the worst."

"I know," she said as she closed the door behind her.

After that, Henry entered and was about to say something when I interrupted, "Don't." He nodded, and we returned to our work.

It's strange how destiny works. Who would have thought that I'd meet her again at the perfect time? But she's busy with someone else, and that someone is not me.
