Meant to Be (But Kinda Complicated)

Dear Readers,

Thank you for reading the story. I started writing this in May and it was originally just an one-shot. After a few requests, I decided to continue it for it to become a much larger story, which is now Meant to Be. Originally, the one-shot had no storyline, it was just a statement that when Ray leaves and then comes back, Randy still has her back.

I started this to practice writing and I think it's evident that through the story I have improved. I even went back and edited some of the chapters, and if you decide to re-read this, you might even notice some new small scenes— they don't change the story but I think they add to the characters.

Also, the story gets a bit darker and more complicated chapter by chapter because Ray falls deeper and deeper into trouble and has to adapt to new challenges BUT also because I've been practicing for something.

It took me awhile to assign characteristics to the characters but I figured it out throughout writing  and that's why I went back to edit the chapters to set in stone those qualities. Ray— while she has a strong mentality, I wanted her to be vulnerable which turned into stubbornness and guilt, also insecurity that went away after being grounded by Randy. At first I thought that he an angry and jealous person but no, he turned out to be over protective and caring, while also dangerous— he is Randy Bullet after all. April is the light in this story that helped Ray to get out of darkness, also the woman went through a lot and deserves happiness. Ramee, while I still wanted him to have his Vulture ways, he turned out to be a supportive character for both April and Randy when they needed it the most.

I enjoyed the story from Ray's POV but I loved writing scenes from Randy's. I understand him better. I had the most fun writing Gunner and Mickey, even though they can be a bit annoying.

Anyways, sorry for the long rant but I hope that this story has made you feel something and put you through a roller coaster. I want to thank you all for reading, voting and commenting, you make my day.
