Since Ray came back to Los Santos, she had been grinding nonstop to cover her losses from the trip. April and Ramee had not returned yet, which meant it gave her time to sort things out, and them to figure out their feelings... or kill each other.

On the first day of being back in the city, she met with Vinny about pushing AKs, grenades, and thermite. He agreed to it as long as she took breaks and didn't spend all day grinding for materials. Vinny launched her hustle with a small batch of guns and thermite to see how she handled the sales.

The early mornings started with meetings with Max at Maldini's regarding the sales and upcoming orders, and followed by a few car chops for materials. After the chops, Max converted the materials, while Ray made the deals regarding the illegal goodies. Cleanbois were the best customers, compliments of Mr. Lang's wallet. It was a part of her routine to deliver supplies, that were necessary for the bank heists, to the Clean Manor.

Ray conducted her business mostly with Mr. Lang and occasionally Mickey, when he was around.  She rarely saw Tony since he was always racing with his crew when Ray got to the manor. Yuno enjoyed sleeping in until the mid-afternoon, and he only woke up before noon if Lang insisted on it. Ray ran into Raymond a couple of times while he was headed to bed after racing or boosting all night. He had been friendly and invited her to join him sometime.

Ray's afternoons consisted of helping Chodie and Taco to plant, harvest, and box all the weed prior to placing it into small baggies. In the evenings, she cleaned bags and rolls while cornering in the back alley of Little Seoul. There wasn't enough time in a day for Ray to get everything done that she wanted to do.

During the night, Ray spent time alone to make herself an easy target so that Joe would show himself. She had not slept in days, surviving on caffeine and pain pills to keep herself going. The lack of sleep led to reckless behavior. She practiced racing lines in Paleto, joined city races where cops could get easily involved, and went out to nightclubs in hopes of pulling Joe out of hiding.

Ray saw red— bloodthirsty and vicious. She wanted to kill him for everything he had done to her family.

No one from the gang had seen Ray for days, except for work-related activities. She avoided them on purpose, she couldn't risk them getting hurt. She needed to bait out Joe, and it was slowly working for her. He consistently texted her every night and confessed how he should be the one taking care of her because she was putting herself in danger.

Finally, one night she saw him at a nightclub in the rich area of the city.

Ray drank a few vodka sodas and danced to Liz Anya's "Vicious Cycle" as she performed on stage. She let the music carry her, and she felt free and careless as alcohol numbed her mind. It was dark except for the blue and purple spotlights shining into the crowd. She noticed a girl with pink hair, dancing by the bar with a drink in her hand.
