Ray stepped into Los Santos for the first time in over a month. She noticed that the airport was busier than usual as she walked down the terminal. The energy of the terminal was hectic as people had their own agenda. Everyone was in a hurry as they bumped into each other while looking at their phones, probably scrolling through Twatter and reading about the latest gossip. As she passed by a window looking out to the high-rise buildings in the distance, she realized that the energy of the whole city was hectic and that's why she left in the first place.

*Flashback*

She walked into Vinny's apartment, smiling from ear to ear after parking the brand new NSX. All the lights were off in the apartment, so she assumed that he had gone to sleep early. She looked at the clock on the microwave, and it read 11:20 pm.

Never mind. She thought. He probably didn't want to wait for me since I came home late.

Vinny had a nickname of "old man" amongst the boys for a reason. He woke up early, worked hard, dealt with malding and balding jokes, made delicious pizza, and went to bed before anyone else.

She turned on the kitchen light and noticed a note of the counter.

"I had meetings all day, so I'm going to bed early. I hope you had a good day. There is a pizza for you in the fridge. - Vinny"

She felt thankful for Vinny.

He loved and cared about everyone in the gang, and that's why he took Ray in. He offered her a room in his place, so she didn't have to be at the Alta apartments by herself, and instead, stay close to her family in Little Soul. He entrusted her with his business and gave her a job, which opened up many opportunities for networking and earning money. He became a father figure that she never had. Vinny always supported her without asking questions.

She walked past Vinny's room into hers to pick out pajamas and get ready for bed. She couldn't believe that she finally got the car that she had been saving up for weeks.

Thank you, Jaylen!

Also, she couldn't believe that Randy upgraded the car without asking and without her knowing about it, while she sat next to him the whole time.

While it felt wrong when Eric upgraded her car, it felt right when Randy did it since he was the one who helped and supported her to reach the goal.

Ray took out her phone to share the exciting news with her best friend.

"Gorl! Where are you????? I have something to show you!"

She heard two dings to notify her of new messages.

"Hey"

That wasn't like her.

"Meet me at the apartments."

Apartments? Ray thought that April stayed at Ramee's place.

*Flashback ends*

Ray followed the crowd of people towards the exit and baggage claim. The large crowd stressed her out and drained her social battery, and she wanted nothing more than to get out of the building. She grabbed a handful of her hoodie and pulled it closer to her chest for comfort as she made it down the packed escalator.
