"If i go shower, will i come back to you gone?"
Me and ghost had calmed down from our interaction, i was smoothing out my dress across the kitchen from Ghost. He hadn't spoke much afterwards, but lingered near me, staring too of course.
"Do you want me to be?"
"I've already told you i don't you to go." I said.
Ghost looked down at the countertop next to him, a small flowery scented candle next to a vase of roses. They were a gift when i got out of the hospital, but they were starting to die now.
"I'll be here." Ghost said.
I gave him a smile.
"Well i'll be um, be back." I motioned to the stairs that were near the front door.
Ghost nodded, not moving from his spot.
"You can get comfortable y'know. You don't have to just stand there."
"I know."
I squinted my eyes at Ghost, then deciding to just let him be. I walked to the stairs, giving a glance over my shoulder at Ghost. He was still standing in my kitchen, but now looking around at the interior of it. I glanced back forward, reaching the stairs and lifting up the bottom of my dress as i walked up them.
I entered my bedroom, passing the spare one i had down the hall. I sighed, feeling relieved i was back in my room. I could finally take off my dress and shower, god knows i needed it. Especially considering the particular substance i could feel dripping down my leg.
I entered the bathroom, slipping the dress off and starting the water of the shower. I waited until it was hot before getting inside, grabbing some clothes for afterwards while i waited. I tried to keep my shower quick, not wanting to leave Ghost alone downstairs for too long. I was still worried i'd find my house empty by the time i got out.
I wrapped a tower tightly around my body when i finished, quickly combing out my wet locks before putting on my clothes. They were plain paid pajamas, creamy white with hints of red and green. I took another look into the mirror in my bathroom, fixing my hair behind my shoulders. It was still wet, but not soaking.
I opened my bathroom door to go back downstairs, getting startled by Ghost now standing in my bedroom.
He was near my bed, looking through the books i had on my bookshelf.
"Ghost?" I called out to him.
The man in my room shot his head over to me, a purple covered book in his hands. I saw his eyes look me down, taking in my new outfit.
"You like reading." Ghost stated.
"Uh, yeah. I guess so." I stepped out the bathroom, flicking off the lights and closing the door.
Ghost slid the book back in the shelf, taking a long look at the rest of the books there was before looking back at me. He seemed very nonchalant about the fact he had wandered into my room.
"I thought you'd be downstairs." I said.
"I didn't think you'd mind me being up here." Ghost took a few steps to me, his long strides bringing him very close to me.
"I don't mind. I wasn't expecting it i guess." I shrugged.
I looked around my room, it wasn't very tidy. It was quite messy over anything, my bed wasn't made and i had a multiple articles of clothings scattered on my floor.
"I just wish you would've gave me a minute to clean a little at least." I said, embarrassed, picking up a a few shirts from the floor and tossing them in my laundry basket.
"It's fine." Ghost watched me as i put away more clothes.
I exhaled as i put in a pair of jeans, deciding to just leave my room as is. How much could Ghost really judge me for it.
Ghost went back to snooping in my room, but i didn't really mind. I knew he probably managed to go through my entire room while i was in the shower, it's not like i had anything to hide anyways. I sat on the edge of my bed, Ghost on the opposite side examining a framed painting i had on the wall. I glanced to the clock i had on my nightstand closest to me, 12:02 was displayed brightly on its screen. It was getting late, i hadn't even noticed the time going by so quick.
I looked over my shoulder at Ghost before looking back to the clock.
"It's really late." I said.
I heard some footsteps behind me, i saw Ghost slowly walking around my bed out of the corner of my eye. Ghost stopped at the foot of the bed, his eyes going to the clock.
I heard a low grunt from him in response. I shook my head laughing,
"Do you want to just stay the night?" I asked.
Ghosts eyes met mine, i tilted my head as i waited for his response.
"I guess." He spoke. "Should i sleep in your spare room?"
Of course he knew about the spare room.
"You can sleep here if you want." I motioned to the bed i was sat on.
Ghosts eyes flickered to the bed.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes." I laughed. "It's not that big of a deal ghost."
I heard him sigh.
"Why do you keep calling me that?" He asked.
"What do you mean?"
"Call me fuckin' Simon, yeah?."
I put my arm behind me and leaned onto it.
"Simon." I emphasized, raising my eyebrows.
He gave me a half glare and i rolled my eyes.
"Will you just agree to sleeping in the same god damn bed as me?"
"Fine" He grumbled.
