Dating was never something Simon thought he'd do. And neither did i. He was cold, and never very open to the world. I knew that, but i couldn't help for fall the cold and blocked off man that he was.

Figuring out how to have a relationship was hard, neither of us knew how to go about doing it. We hadn't seen each other in a year, and eight months, but what we had before was still there. We had both changed, but the feeling we had didn't. Simon was very hesitant to ever admit he felt anything for me, it took him a long time to ever do it. I didn't mind, i understood. I knew what i was getting into with him.

We took things slow, simply spending more and more time together and growing comfortable around each other. He was usually at my place, or with me at the base while i worked. He lingered around me, but then sometimes would go M.I.A for a day or two, and then pop back up again like nothing happened. I've yet to figure out why, but i wasn't at the point to be questioning him just yet. He had his own life and i had mine, we were ever so slowly intertwining them.

Simon was set to go to Russia in a little over a month, and we had talked about me going, just like Price suggested i did. Simon said he didn't want me to, because of everything that went down in Mexico. I understood, but honestly i just didn't want him to be gone for that long, but i never told him that. So i waited while he was gone. It wasn't that bad, i had gone a whole year without him before.

Things between us slowly got better. It took a long time, but i could tell things were changing. We were figuring out how to be together, cohabitate healthily, taking it day by day. I was grateful, i was happy. Despite how difficult it had been and how it would continue to be, i couldn't imagine my life being any different.

I was happy, and i was with him.

Depending on the reaction i get from this last chapter, i might write a few bonus parts for this book in the future. But before then, vote on this story and check out my other work Simon Ghost Riley Oneshots. I haven't uploaded much for it, but i have drafts i will upload shortly. But yeah, this is it :,)
