Hopper blinked his eyes open, he was slightly confused. Then what happened last night came back to him in a split second. He was bare body against bare body with Joyce Byers under her covers. He lifted his head from her bare chest and still asleep, she rolled over. He gently lifted the blanket to her shoulders so she wouldn't get cold and he kissed her head with little enough pressure not to wake her. His smile grew when he truly processed that he could now do that. He threw on some pyjama pants and made his way downstairs to the kitchen. He whistled while cracking some eggs into a pan and toasting some bread. He was finished with the whole breakfast except for the coffee by the time he heard soft footsteps. He turned and clenched his jaw to prevent it from dropping. It was Joyce, yes, but she appeared to be wearing only the button up he had discarded to the floor beside the bed last night. It wasn't even fully buttoned. "Hop?" It came with a small chuckle. He brought his eyes back up and swallowed.

"Morning." Was all he could muster.

"I hope you don't mind. I just didn't want to dirty another shirt before I shower." She explained herself. But that was only part of why she wanted to wear his shirt.

"Oh- um- no- not at all- I mean you look amazing- you pull it off better than I ever could- just- keep it-"

"Jim." A pink tint spread across her nose and cheeks.

"Sorry." He swallowed once again.

"Don't apologise." She shook her head and he watched her brunette locks move. Even with slightly messy bed head he was still flabbergasted. Joyce approached Hopper, winding her arms around just above the waist band of his pyjama pants. She leaned up at him and he took the cue to tilt his head down for her reach. Her stomach swarmed with butterflies as they shared a kiss. "The kids will be back for lunch." She spoke. He nodded an okay.

"I just have to make coffee." He gave her a quick peck before returning back to his making of breakfast for the two of them. Joyce began moving everything he had made to the kitchen table, and soon enough they were sat across each other, sharing laughter and smiles while enjoying a peaceful meal together, as a couple.

"What are we supposed to tell the kids?" Joyce brought it up.

"Uh- well, unless you don't want them to know, then I don't see why we wouldn't tell them." Hopper responded, shrugging a little.

"I'd dread telling Murray more than telling the kids because he'll just say I told you so the entire time." That made the two of them chuckle and shake their heads at the crazy man that wasn't even amongst them in the moment. They showered and had gotten ready for the day by the time their 3 kids came back home.

"We have something we want to tell you." Hopper spoke after he swallowed his lunch.

"You got together yesterday." Eleven didn't even look up from her plate that she was looking at while she swirled spaghetti on her fork. Joyce panicked.

"Did you spy on us last night?" God forbid that girl saw what her parents did.

"No." Jane said simply, finally looking at her mother. "You two were just left at home by yourselves with no real distractions." For a girl who spent the first decade of her life outside of the real world, she was pretty smart. Will pressed his lips together hard to prevent a laugh.

"And you told Will and Jonathan?"  Hopper asked. The girl shook her head.

"We're not stupid, we knew you liked each other."  Will shrugged as if he had just been told that the sky was blue.

"Plus right now you're both glowing and have been making heart eyes at each other since we got here, so I'm gonna assume it was like that before we arrived as well." Jonathan narrowed his eyebrows.

"I- yeah. We're together." Hopper knew they were smart kids but he didn't think that they knew more about his relationship with Joyce than he did until they talked about it.

"It's about damn time." Will spoke through a breath. As soon as they finished eating El and Will fan upstairs. Jonathan stayed. He wanted to have a little chat with Hopper.

"You don't want to know what will happen to you if you hurt my mom. You may be the father of my little sister, but I still won't hesitate."

"I'd die for her. I wouldn't dream of harming her." Hopper almost appeared offended.

"And please. Just be as quiet as you can. We all share this house and I don't wanna have to fall asleep to noises that are completely... unholy." Jim's face reddened and Jonathan simply walked away.
