The room went quiet so fast it was like there was never a sound in the fireplace to silence. Except for what seemed like a silent but blaring conversation passed between the two strange men. Turning the atmosphere from seething with anger to being purely shell-shocked.
Then back to anger again. Each emotion is clear on their faces not hiding a single one.
"Does it mention anything about rank?!" an angry but confused Cai Huang asked.
"No, it didn't. That was all it said. Are you thinking the system is finally forcing us to create a plot? Or did it give up on us and bring him here to replace us." Gu lang responded, holding Tai Yang up higher for emphasis.
After the Gu man said that Cai Huang seemed to be looking at something that neither he nor Gu man could see.
Seeming finally satisfied with what he found he looked back up to the Gu man, "As I thought I have several missions involving leaving Spawn and Development. And all of them involve interacting with the eight sects. "
"... does that mean the system is really forcing up to make a plot?" the Gu man questioned."It might mean that, I dont know yet. This could all be a coincidence and we're falling into the system's trap. We shouldn't jump to assumptions yet. This could basically mean anything from a basic coincidence to it forcing a plot."
This seemed to stump both of them. It seemed they really didn't want to assume that this 'system' thing was forcing a 'plot' on them. Though it also seemed that they both thought this was the most possible option to happen.
"If it is the system creating a plot is there a way to cancel it out like you did with your brother..."
Cai Huang stiffened at the mention of his brother but answered anyways. "Yes, there probably is a way to cancel out the plot like he did but you know I dont know how he did that."
There was another silence between the two but this time it ended with Cai Huang speaking up this time.
"How about I spend my points on questioning the system since I have missions to gain them back with the new missions I need to do anyways? This way we won't loses points and we get the information we need."
"How about I do that? If the system is pushing us to do a plot I will get missions anyways. So how about following are furry friend over there," he said pointing once again at Tai Yang, "while I get the points to ask the questions. You can even tell me what to ask it later after I get the points."
"No."Cai Huang said
The Gu man made a confused sound at that. As if asking why the other man had said no to such a reasonable idea.
"We both know you dont know how to fight and only can make medicine and cultivation pills. If the missions involve the eight sects only three of the sects will help you since they are cultivation base growth sects. Also, none of the sects will respect you for having nothing to show of worth. You are no medicine refinement master or pill maker."
"But-" the Gu man tried to argue.
"Plus what makes you think they will even let you in their sect? The only way in is through the disciple trials. And that is not for another few months. My missions are dew in a few weeks and I can get in most of the sects just fine." Cai Huang said making it so there was no question about what was going to happen.
"So you will deal with the weasel while i deal with the missions, questions, plot, sects and the system."
The Gu man seemed a little bugged by this and seemed like he was about to argue back when he noticed Tai Yang again.
