As Tai Yang processed what the boy had said Long Ling hurriedly got off of him, realizing how immature he was being. Even worse he was being a immature cry baby on the town rat, Jun Junfeng. This was underlay embarrassing to Long Ling.
Not that anyone seemed to notice the embarrassment on the child's face. All still internally laughing at the town rat on the floor.
Tai Yang was hella confused.
Long Ling had told him that Gu Lang had sent him here saying he had stolen basically, himself.
This made no sense to him. Gu Lang knew that he was the town rat and even told him not to tell Cai Huang who he was the town rat. Why would he tell the boy that he had himself then?
This made him question once again if Gu Lang was even in his side. He started to believe that the man was on his side after he learned they had a way to compromise there two goals and had much to gain through it but this assumption could be completely wrong.
Meaning his assumption of Gu Lang was not on track of what Gu Lang was going to do and he might not actually be able to trust the other transmigrator.
"Now that that misunderstanding is over, please explain why I can not stay at the in with my friend even though we payed just like everyone else." He said looking over at the young man.
Huffing as if it was clearly obvious on why Tai Yang couldn't stay at the inn the boy crossed his arms and started to explain.
"Isn't knowing your place as the town rat enough." The boy acted as if Tai Yang was dumber then a rock, "even you can comprehend that if 'you' are allowed to stay here people will get the wrong message about our inn."
Tai Yang understood what the boy meant in how people would think the inn was desperate enough to let the town rat stay in it and the whole view of the inn would change.
Not that he wasn't about to worm his way into staying at the inn.
"So people still think I'm the town rat how sad." Tai Yang said acting very childish, "I was told I was a vary respected mast of a peak."
This made the boy confused and he blinked about. Not knowing if he should believe such a dumb statement or just give up dealing with someone who sounded as insane at Tai Yang.
Deciding he wasn't going to believe the rat even though a cultivator was trailing him, he scoffed loudly. Insulted.
"You act as if everyone is dumb enough to believe that shit. Get out you lunatic, your clogging out air with you presents!"
Understanding even with Li Mei besides him that the boy would still not let him stay at the inn with his own efforts, Tai Yang tapped Li Meis shoulder.
Awaking her from her daze as she stared at the small boy behind the counter.
"Yes senior Jin?" She asked.
"Li Mei you say I am a peace lord. Can you explain that whole story to this young man. I can stay at the inn to rest if you don't." Tai Yang responded.
Tai Yang thought that she would work it out with the boy and explain the who thing but he was surprised when the cultivator went cold looking at the boy. Only say a few words.
"Senior can stay here."
The boy like before looked like he was going to argue again but quickly closed his mouth. Which was a clear effort since his teeth clacked together and he stiffly bowed to Li Mei.
"Yes, as you say." The boy said with clear struggle before leaving.
This brought a smirk to Tai Yangs face. It was silly how the boy thought he could win that fight. If Tai Yang was alone maybe but he had clearly walked in with a cultivator. Making Tai Yangs word have more significance then his and his win inevitable.
Giving a expecting look at Li Mei, he head down the hall after her. Arriving at a small room at the vary end of the hall. Though the definition small at this point should have had a different meaning when it came to room sizes.
Long Ling's room and even home contained the word small in its definition but this room was twice the size. Meaning it should have been not considered small? But it still felt like it should in Tai Yangs opinion.
In his old life he didn't have the funds to afford a house so he had a cheap apartment complex. It was 'small' as well but compared to the room Tai Yang had been seeing recently, it was large. Being three times the size of the room he was in now.
Sighing, he didn't even look back at Li Mei when she told him she was going to pay for another room. It felt like the concept of him being stuck he had finally fully sunken in.
He was tired and just the thought that this was his life now pained Tai Yang.
He hated his life so far, or the main minority of it. Being a beggar now, supposedly being virus because he had no system, turning into a weasel unwilling, and even just not knowing anything that was going on.
He had fun eating lychees with long ling and winning the room he was in but other then that he was extremely exhausted.
So with one final sigh, Tai Yang flopped on the bed and passed out. Only wanting to lay there but not being able to help himself.
After all that has happened one would think luck might change sides and help Tai Yang, but whoever thought that is extremely wrong and might have jinxed him into a worse fate.
His supposed sleep had only felt like mere seconds to Tai Yang. Making him feel drained and even more exhausted then he had felt going to sleep. Giving him half a mind to pretend to be asleep still and pray Li Mei wouldn't come looking for him
But at this rate of his luck he might have just been jinxing himself since that is exactly what happened. Moments after the thought there was a few soft knocks before the door cracked open, Li Meis head poking in to look at him before fully opening it.
"Senior Jin? The boy from yesterday is here, do you want me to send him away." She asked almost nervous. Not knowing what to do in this situation.
Picturing the angry boy from yesterday that tried to kick him out of the inn, he let out a long sigh. Not wanting to deal with the stubborn child but rather do it now then when he was about to leave.
"Okay, I'll be out there in a minute."
With that Li Mei left and he himself made it so he took much longer than a minute.
Eventually leaving his room, Tai Yang trudged down the hallway to be surprised when he was met with dark blue eyes of Long Ling and not brown eyes of the other boy.
He had kinda forgotten about the boy yesterday when dealing with the annoying boy. Had the boy left when he had gone to his room? He had right? There was no need for the boy to had stay yesterday day.
Being to tired to think, Tai Yang made no effort in trying to remember why the boy was here. Opting out to just ask the boy out front.
"Don't you have school or some kind of place to be? Why are you here?"
Hearing this the boys eyes drooped and made it look as if he was saying 'are you stupid', "You claimed you would help me find Taiyang."
Knowing that the boy wouldn't find 'Taiyang', he decided to ditch the boy in the middle of looking for him. Knowing the child would attack him again if he tried to explain in any shape or form that he wouldn't be able to get his pet back.
"Okay, do you want to leave now to look for the weasel? I'll just call Li Mei and well start looking."
Seeing the boy nod, Tai Yang turned around. Needing to find Li Mei and a escape plan.
