Cai Huang was left on the front counter and both him and Tai Yang sighed in relief as the unpleasant and suffocating atmosphere left with Gu Lang.
Both rodents had felt the same about how Gu Lang and how he was acting, because of this they had been on the same side technically the whole time on the walk here. Tai Yang was still technically on Cai Huangs side, not realizing that they had no need to be on each other's sides any longer.
While Tai Yang had forgotten this Cai Huang had certainly not. Moments after they had let out relieved breaths the ferret had launched itself at Tai Yang - who was still in Long Ling robes.
Caught off guard Long Ling stumbled back a little. Trying to keep his balance back the boy used one of the stores many shelf's to keep himself upright.
In a daze from almost falling over from a rodent, Long Ling grabbed the angry ferret by its scruff and held it as far in front of him as possible.
Using his other free hand that he was no longer using to hold himself up, reached inside his robes for the hiding Tai Yang.
Once he felt Tai Yang he looked back at the ferret and brought his hand back out. Leaving Tai Yang alone to hide in his robes.
Using the hand that wasn't occupied by a rodent, Long Ling grabbed a empty bamboo basket from one of the store shelves. With no hesitation he roughly shoved Cai Huang inside it and closed it bamboo woven lid.
The basket rattled and shook violently as the small ferret tried to get out but all hope of it getting out was sealed when Long Ling lopped a string connecting to the lid around a button on the main part of the basket. Sealing the lid closed and keeping Cai Huang from getting out.
Somewhat tossing the basket back on the shelf, Long Ling when back to calmly waiting for Gu Lang and his strawberry's. Completely ignoring the fact that the basket was not on the floor.
Cai Huang had flung the basket down from the shelf with his efforts to get out. Making it land with a loud crack. Seemingly to have broken one side of the bamboo basket but no ferret came out. In fact the basket didn't move again after it fell. Going completely silent.
Hearing this Tai Yang poked his head back out. He knew he himself was not bleeding but as a weasel he could definitely smell the sent of it.
Looking around he couldn't see were it was coming from. It wasn't on the counters or shelf's. Nor was the sent coming from the direction on the bamboo basket were Cai Huang was.
He thought he was losing when Long Ling started to pet him like a average pet. This obviously made Tai Yang furious and he was about to swat the hand petting him away when he suddenly realized how strong the sent of blood had gotten.
Grabbing the annoying hand that was petting him, Tai Yang searched it. He found three claw marks and a bite mark on the back of the kids hand.
Long Ling must have gotten it when Cai Huang pounced on him, clawing at the boy accidentally while trying to reach Tai Yang.
As a small weasel, Tai Yang had no idea what to do. He wanted to help the boy with the wounds but he was unable to.
He was useless when it how he could he help. So unknowledgeable about we're he could find something to banged it up and sanitize it.
Every passing minute he stated to hate being a rodent more and more. Small children when there young usually wish to become a dog, cat or some kind of small animal. Even Tai Yang wanted to be a cat as a child.
Little did he know as any child wishing for this know how useless being a small animal would be. He could even keep up with a slow walk without getting tired by the third step and be left behind in whoever's dust.
