Chapter 39: Loved You First

"No calls?" Eleanor asks me as she takes a bit at her sandwich. "No... Two days... No calls." Danielle says. "Am I right? He isn't calling you?" Danielle looks at me. "He will call. I guess he's just busy... He'll call later." I say. "Really? He's not like that before. Why is he not calling you? Do you want me to call him for you?" Eleanor asks me. "But Jack does. Just let Tom call. I want him to call. Not us." I say. "Why are you talking to Jack?!" Danielle asks.

"There. He's calling!" I answer. "Hello?" "Ava, this is Jack. Tom's in the bathroom...he in the bathroom right now. He said that he's fine and he'll call you tomorrow. He's a busy by now but he wants to tell you that he's sorry he can't talk to you." he says. "Oh, thank you. I'll wait for his call tomorrow." I hang up.

"What did Tom say?" Danielle asks me. "It was Jack." I say. "Jack?! Jack again?! Is Jack your boyfriend? Tom is pissing me off now. He should be the one calling you." Danielle says. "He said he'll be calling tomorrow. I know he's busy in Dubai. Let's just---"

"Louis texted me. Their single is finish now. I can't wait to hear it!" Eleanor says. "Seriously?! That's great!" Danielle smiles.

Everything between me and Louis isn't fine until now. I don't know when will we be okay.

"What's the title?" Danielle asks. "Loved you first. Here, Harry sent me a voice note." Eleanor plays the note and it's a snippet.

"I've been waiting all this time to finally say it, but now I see your heart's been taken, and nothing could be worse, baby I loved you first. Grab my chances, could've been where he is standing, that's what hurts the most, girl I came so close and now you'll never know, baby I loved you first."

"It sounds so good!" Eleanor says.

It does sound good. The tune and the lyrics were very fine. I heard that the management can't wait to release it because it will be a big hit since it's the football boys, specifically Louis, Zayn, Niall, Liam and Harry.

"This will be great! I can't wait!" Danielle says. "Aren't you happy, A?" Eleanor asks.

Happy? Happy that the brother I hated will be releasing a single? Happy that Tom isn't calling me? Happy? Why should I be happy when I can't.

A week passed and finally.

"Tom! Finally. I heard you're voice. How are you? Are you coming over?" I ask. "I'm on my way to Plymouth, babe. I'm sorry. What you up to?" He asks me. "I miss you. It has been a week. I haven't heard your voice. I want to see you." I say. "I miss you too. I love you. I'll be back soon. I promise. I'll just have time with my family and I'll get to have time with you. How's Eleanor and Danielle?" He asks. "We're on our way to Louis' small concert. They'll be performing their first single." I say. "Oh, you're okay with Louis now?" Tom asks. "Not...not yet..." I answer. "I don't wanna talk about it." I answer. "Oh, we're already here now. I have to hang up. I love you." I say. "I love you so much." He answers.

How could he cheat on me with that language, Louis?

We reached the venue and there were a lot of people. We had VIP passes so we got in quickly.

"It's gonna start in a minute! I'm so excited!" Eleanor says. "We're just in time!" Danielle says. "Now you're happy you heard Tom, be happy because Louis gave you a VIP pass to his concert!" Eleanor tells me.

The corners of my lips rises from what they've said. Yes, I may have the reasons to be happy now. The last thing that I'm thinking of is to see Tom. I'll surprise him in Plymouth! It would be great!

The lights dimmed and girls were shouting. Even Danielle and Eleanor too.

"Girl, that should be me driving to your house, knocking on your door, kissing you on the mouth, holding on your hand, dancing in the dark, 'cause I was the only one who loved you from the start."
