Chapter 1: First Day

I’m back in London after two years of studying in Manchester. My brother, Louis has fixed my papers at a university in London.

We both lived in Doncaster before, we finished middle school in Doncaster and continued education in London, Louis stayed in London for his football career while I studied two years of college in Manchester, I went back to London to continue my studies and after 2 more years from now, I’m graduating. Louis is graduating this year. He’s a  football player in the university I enrolled to. We’re just in one school.

Louis is fond of playing football and he has been playing for the university for 4 years since he got there. He has a girlfriend already, her name is Eleanor and I met her when I got home. She’s very pretty and kind. We’re attending the same class. It was an advantage that I already know someone in the university aside from my brother.

“Rise and shine! Let’s eat breakfast at McDonald’s!” Louis says and sides my curtains to the left and to the right. “Get up! Get up! It’s your first day in school!” he adds and pulls my blanket off. “LOU!!!” I shout. “More minutes please.” I say. “It’s almost 9AM! Get up and we’re getting late!”

I stand and shake my head. “I’m coming, now get out.” I say. “I’ll be waiting, we’ll drop by Eleanor to fetch her.” Louis says.

After eating, we went to school, Louis drove, and oh by the way, I’m gonna get my license in a few months too!

“So, welcome to your first day, gonna go now. See you later.” Louis says and kisses me on my forehead and Eleanor’s lips.

“Let’s go in our room now, I’ll introduce to you some friends.” Says Eleanor.

Our professor wasn’t there yet so, we had time to talk.

“Hey guys, this is Ava Tommo.” Eleanor says. “You’re Louis’ sister?” asks a girl with a hair like ramen noodles. I nod in answer. “I am.” “Wow, I’m Danielle.” She smiles at me. “I’m Tom.” Says the guy with brown hair.

“Oh, hello.” I say to them. “You look like Lou, the football player.” Says Tom. “She is Lou’s sister. Oh by the way, this is Tom, he’s a diver, he’s representing our university in the upcoming diving event.” Says Danielle. “You’re a diver… That’s cool.” I say with a smile. Tom nods.

After school, Eleanor and Danielle went to the football field to see their boys. I also knew that Danielle was Liam’s girlfriend.

While we were waiting, we were sitting down by the bleachers, I was sight seeing, looking around the field. Some were playing football but Lou isn’t there. I look everywhere until I spot a guy sitting at the other side of the bleachers, in front of us. He was like an Indian guy, mixed with English blood. His hair styled. He’s wearing jeans and a black top, seems like he’s a player, but he’s injured. I look at him. Actually, I stared at him.

He’s good looking though, he was texting, I guess, since he is holding his phone, and he catches my eye! That I quickly looked away to the ground and pretended to pick my phone in my bag.

My heart beats fast like a running cheetah! I look back at him but not on his eyes, I peek on him. He stands and walk towards the football players.

“Aha! You’re looking at him?” Eleanor says. “Me? He’s good looking though.” I say and laughed. “He’s Zayn Malik, a football player. And that’s Harry Styles, the curly one, that’s Liam Payne, Danielle’s boyfriend, and the blonde guy is Niall Horan.” Eleanor says. “Oh, there’s Louis, let’s go.”

We walked towards him and he sees us. “Hey A!” “Hi Louis. How’s training?” I ask him. “We’re all fine and good. Oh by the way, let me introduce you to my best friends, hey, uhm, this is Niall, Harry, Liam and Zayn. Lads, this is my sister, Ava.”  Louis says. “Be friendly to her.” Louis says and laughs. I smiled to them and waved hello. “Do you like football too?” asks the blonde guy. “No.” I shake my head. “I don’t even know what or how to play football.” I tell them. “She’s my opposite.” Louis says and I nod. “How old are you?” asks the curly guy. “I’m 17.” I answer him with a smile.
