It was Wednesday, time is really fast and it’s October. I can’t wait for the upcoming events. I’ve been staying late in school with Danielle with Eleanor just to watch the football training or just wait and watch for Tom’s diving.

At night, my class ended at exactly 6PM and Eleanor was absent. Danielle is with me, Tom in is training. I’ll be waiting for Tom and Louis to finish his training at 7. The football players end at 6:30PM and Tom ends at 7PM. Me and Lou will be waiting for him.

I was sitting at the bleachers, it was a cold night, the air was so cool, I can feel Christmas in the air. I saw a the ball they use in football and I stand, went close to it and kicked it. I ran to the other side and kicked it again. I try to imitate theit foot work that made me look stupid.

“Hey.” Someone shouts from nowhere and I stop and look around. “You kick good.” Says Zayn behind my back. He’s with his bag at his back “I thought you don’t like football?” he looks at me. “It’s not bad to learn it, right?” I ask him. “Of course. Show me a kick.” Says Zayn.

He puts his bag down and runs to the other side.

“Go!” he tells me to. I kick the ball and he kicks it back. “You do great!” he says. “Do I?” I ask myself. He laughs and walks towards me. He gets the ball from me, “Hey, I’m using it.” I say. “Go get it from me.” He says and I took it away from him, kicking it to the other side. “Who you calling weak? Malik?” I ask him and he laughs. “I didn’t know you’re good in football.” He says and chases me.

“It runs in the blood.” I jokingly say. “Oh really? So if I’m a Tommo, I kick good too?” he says. “I love kicking balls.” I say and kicked the ball and it straightly went to his crotch. He crouches down to feel the pain.

I ran towards him.

“You really…uhh.. like kicking balls.” Says Zayn and I laugh. “I’m so Sorry.” I say. “Are you crazy?” he asks me and relaxes his body down the ground. I sat beside him. “I maybe. But it was an accident.” I tell him. “It is so… painful.” He says and I laugh. “I’m very sorry.” I tell him. “It’s fine.” He smiles at me.

“What are you doing this late here?” he asks me. “It’s just… for today.” I say. “Today? I always see you here.” He says. “You see? Me? Here? And I don’t even see you.” I tell him. “Oh, uhm, I—“ “I only come here every Wednesday and Friday.” I say. “Oh, I mean, I see you at school everyday.” He tells me. “Every… day?” I ask him. “Oh, anyway. Is something happening between you and Tom? You always go home together.” Zayn says. “We’re just good friends. Louis is very close to him.” I answer. “I thought he was your boyfriend. A lot of people thought about it.” Zayn says.

“Whoa, really?” I ask him. “Yah.” Zayn nods. “Do you like him?” he asks me. “No. I don’t. He’s just like Louis. A brother.” I tell Zayn.

“Ava.”

Someone calls me from my back.

“Oh, hey. Tom. You finish?” I ask him. “Yah, Louis says he’ll be going home late because of a meeting with the coaches. So, let’s go now?” asks Tom.

“Yah, sure.” I stand and took my bag. “Hey, Zayn, would you like to come with us?”

I ask him. “We’re going to the same direction, much better and safer.” Says Tom. “Yah, my body guards!” I say with a laugh. “Oh, sure.” Zayn says.

We all went out of the campus and rode a bus. As usual, mental traffic.

Tom is sleeping again, Zayn is a bit sleepy as I can see, while I’m texting Eleanor.
