"is there anyway i can miss the appointment?" i asked nervously.
"um. no? why?" luke spoke as he stared at me.
"n-no reason." i stuttered as luke led me to calum's office.
"hey cal, i brought your favorite patient." luke smirked as he opened the door revealing a glaring me.
"someone's not happy." calum muttered.
"no shit sherlock." i muttered back making calum glare back at me.
"do i need to be in here to supervise you two children or some shit?" luke spoke as he tried to hide a smile.
"i'm not a child she's just rude." calum pointed out.
"you're one to speak? at least i'm not so dumb that i state the fucking obvious." i laughed sarcastically.
"enough! just get the physical over with please and stop arguing." luke spoke quickly before calum could respond.
i sat up on the table slowly as luke awkwardly left the room.
"what happened to starting over?" calum spoke as he snapped on gloves.
"i don't want to do this." i spoke softly, completely ignoring his comment.
"well, i can't really get you out of it." calum spoke awkwardly.
"you don't get it. i can't do this." i whispered as i wrapped my arms around my stomach.
"is your stomach bothering you?" calum asked.
"n-no." i stuttered as i quickly pinned my hands down by my side.
calum gave me a suspicious look before nodding slowly.
"i'm going to start by listening to your heart and taking your blood pressure, is that okay?" he asked.
i nodded softly.
i felt the cold stethoscope hit my chest and i immediately shuttered.
"sorry, it's cold. breath in." calum instructed.
i did as he said and he nodded.
"perfectly healthy." he smiled softly as he jotted notes down on a clipboard.
"i'm going to need you to roll up your sleeves so i can take your blood pressure." he directed.
i sighed softly. so far so good.
he took my blood pressure and jotted some more notes down.
"okay, all i'm going to do is tap your knee with this to check on the reflexes." he smiled as he gently tapped my leg.
i shot my leg in his direction making him almost fall over.
"that was totally forced." he muttered as he glared at me.
i just shrugged my shoulders lightly.
"i'll give you a choice, i need to check your stomach or take your height and weight. which one first?" calum asked.
"height and weight." i muttered.
calum recorded my height and weight and nodded swiftly.
"you're perfectly healthy. now back up and lay down." he smiled.
i stepped back up and sat down before looking up at him with tears in my eyes.
"hey? are you okay? what's wrong?" he asked softly.
"c-can we skip this?" i asked softly.
"why? are you feeling pain?" calum asked.
"n-no i just d-don't want to do it." i spoke as tears started to fall down my face.
i was embarrassed. i didn't want him to see my scars and then my mom would really be mad at me. i didn't want to be locked up.
"don't cry. please don't cry." calum spoke as he gently held my hand.
that only made me cry harder.
next thing i knew, i was full blown sobbing into calum's chest because i didn't want him to check my stomach.
i didn't even notice michael walk into the room with his lunch.
"woah, what's going on?" he asked quickly when he saw the scene in front of him.
"she doesn't want me to check her stomach and i don't know why." calum spoke quickly as he held my sobbing body.
"babe, he's not going to hurt you. it won't hurt at all. calum's very gentle." michael added.
"i-i'm not concerned a-about that." i sobbed.
"then what's wrong love?" calum whispered as he pushed me back to look into my eyes.
"i-i used to self harm okay? it was bad. i was going through a tough time. they are ugly scars. deep ones. i just please don't tell anyone." i cried into my hands.
i heard foot steps walk over and michael gently pull my hands down.
"no more tears. you're okay. i'm sorry you went through that." he whispered as he pulled me in for a hug.
"i'm going to page luke okay? or ashton?" calum spoke swiftly as he pulled out his pager.
luke came walking in first and immediately was alarmed at my shaking body in michael's hold.
calum quickly explained what happened and luke stared over at me with sad eyes.
"i-i'm s- "no apologies." luke whispered as he pulled me close.
ashton came walking in a few moments later and calum caught him up to speed.
"you could've told me." ashton whispered as he gave me a sad expression.
"i'm sorry to do this to you now, but we need to tell your mom." ashton spoke softly.
"you can't. you saw h-how she reacted." i spoke in between breathes.
"calm down baby. breath. i'm sorry. we are legally obligated to." michael added.
i nodded stiffly as i let my head hit luke's shoulder.
"i'll be with you." luke offered.
"promise you won't leave me if she gets mad?" i whispered.
"i promise."
