" You're fucking my brother?!" Sirius barges into his office and James' assistant yelps as Sirius rips his arm from their grasp.

" Taylor it's fine." He sends them away and they leave hesitantly.

Sirius walks around James' desk and quite literally picks him up by his collar.

" I don't understand whatever fucked up relationship agreement you have with Severus but my brother? My little brother?!" He shakes him slightly but James doesn't react.

He knew it would happen.

" You fucking asshole. You don't fucking deserve Regulus and you certainly don't deserve to be fucking married." He pushes James back into his chair and paces back and forth.

" You have a fucking husband!"

" I know that."

" So you're just gonna string Regulus along until you get bored?" He yells and James can feel the start of a painful and long argument.

" It was a mistake."

" No. No you do not pull that shit with this, with my brother. I don't care if you think it was a mistake, it's yours so you take responsibility and FIX IT."

Sirius looks unhinged with anger. His fists flare and clench ever so often, his jaw so tight the muscles tense painfully.

" I will."

" You fucking better. This shit—" he points to James' general direction.

"—doesn't go on. Either you fix your relationship with Severus and leave my brother alone or you choose."

For the first time in a while James was caught off guard.

" What?"

" Choose. Severus has to be sick of you by now, either close the relationship and leave my brother or you choose my brother and leave Severus."

James' heart quickens and he stands up.

" Is that an ultimatum?"

" Yes."

" Who are you to he giving ultimatums?"

" Your best friend."

" What do you have to do with anything?"

" If my idiot brother can't see you aren't worth his fucking time I wouldn't be here. He's chasing some teenage fantasy while the rest of us deals with the reality." Sirius steps forward and leans onto James' desk, fists resting on the surface.

" Leave Severus. If you want to see my brother and not lose every single person in your miserable fucking life then you'll do that guy a favor and leave."

" I can't do that."

" Then stop fucking my brother."

" I...."

Surprisingly, he doesn't want that either. What would he do without Regulus? Go back to his miserable boring life? With a husband who barely cares and isn't home?

" I can't do that either."

" For fucks sake." Sirius rubs his forehead and sighs.

" I'm gonna give you a month. I would give you a week but since your last braincell works at the rate of a snail i'm giving you a month to think."

Sirius grabs his collar again and pulls him closer.

" If you make the wrong choice i will skin you alive. I don't care how long we've been friends, you don't do this to people." His voice crumbles a little and James' eyes widen.
