Falling for a mistake | Jeverus

James is definitely tipsy when they leave the bar because he doesn't even know how he got to the club, just knows he was sitting in a car w someone next to him. He assumes it was Severus because their hands are still together and Severus is tugging him towards their friends.

" Scale of one to ten, how drunk are you?" Lily asks and squints at him. She's holding them like a gun and her chin rests on her thumbs.

" Um. 5?"

" Ok ok. We can work with five." Lily nods, looking at Pandora who is the only person who knows.

" That means he's five drinks away from puking."

" But two drinks away from getting depressed." They weigh their options outside of the club while the rest stand around listening to their nonsense.

" At nine he starts to run away."

" So sweet spot is 8." Pandora nods and Lily clicks her fingers in victory.

" Yes. Ok, two vodka sodas and an old fashioned and you are good to go my friend." She grabs Severus by the shoulders and hauls the tall man into the club.

He could've easily stopped her but he was tipsy and she is determined so he finds himself walking straight to the bar after showing the bouncer some id.

James' arm lifted as Severus was dragged away and he could feel Severus scramble to keep James close. His efforts were wasted however and James stood there watching like an idiot.

" Have any of you seen Severus drunk?" Frank asks and everyone shakes their head.

" You haven't?" Remus asked him and he shook his head.

" No uh... he doesn't usually like to drink right?"

" Yeah, i thought he was sober or something." Sirius shrugs.

They finally go into the club after loitering around the entrance. The club is even louder and even crowded but Sirius pulls strings and uses his charm to flirt his way into a vip table.

His black amex also helps.

" What are we drinking?" Sirius asks as they sit down and he looks at the menu.

They order bottle service and right when the drinks arrive Lily and Severus reappear.

Severus looks dazed as he plops down next to James and leans his head against him for support.

" Uh is he ok?" James asks and Lily nods.

" Yeah he had shots and then a vodka soda."

" How many shots?"

" Two."

" So he's at 8 already?" Pandora asks and Lily nods.

Pandora smiles and giggles, leaning in to whisper something in Lily's ear. James is looking at them skeptically because they glance at him and chuckle ever so often.

He didn't get it until he felt a hand slowly inch towards him until it settled on his inner thigh, making him shake. He looked at Severus wide eyed to see him eyeing his own hand, riding up higher until James has to physically stop him.

" Sev don't." He whispers and he's very self conscious about the fact he's beet red.

" Sorry." Severus mumbles but makes no move to retract his hand, instead sighing and shifting so he could see their friends better.

With the dark lighting and the music that makes the floors vibrate, James is very aware of his situation. His drunk husband teasing him when yesterday he wouldn't even speak to him.
