Chapter 28

~JJ's pov~

I messed up.

I was supposed to save Kie and I couldn't.

If the situation would be inverted she would've succeed to save me. She'd have one of her amazing plans that will fix everything.

"It's gonna be fine, she's okay" said John B looking in the direction where the guy's boat went, along with Kie.

She seemed unconscious.

"She's with Rafe, she's not fine" I said still trying to watch them even if it was harder now that they were so far away. "We don't even know if she's okay, what if she isn't even awake" I added.

"We'll take her back" said Sarah for the first time in a while.

"How? We don't have the Twinkie, we don't have moneys, we don't have our phones, we have nothing" I snapped.

"Calm down, we'll figure something out, first we need new clothes" said Cleo even if she didn't seem bothered at all, like she'd know what's going to happen.

We didn't have time for new clothes or plans. We needed to go after Kie now.

"We need to go now" I said but no one seemed to actually listen.

"We'll go take some new clothes and then we'll go after her" finally said John B.

I wanted to protest again but it was pointless.

I don't know for how long we walked but I could barely feel my legs. We walked until we finally got into the city. I wasn't sure where we were but it seemed like a place where rich people go on vacations.

Then we walked some more. We walked for what felt like hours and all this time I could only think about Kie.

"Wait here" said Sarah suddenly stopping in front of a bank.

"I thought you said we're going to get clothes" said Pope.

"We need moneys for clothes so I'm going to take one of my dad's bank account" she said.

"If you do that then they'll be able to track us down" said John B.

"That's why we need to move fast enough so we can get out of here in time" she said entering in the bank before we could say anything else.

"We need to talk" said John B dragging me aside from Pope and Cleo.

"Talk about what?"

"You and Kie"

"What about me and Kie?" I said trying my best to not show any emotion at all.

It didn't work.

"It's so obvious that you're falling for her" he said with the smile he and Sarah shared when they were bringing this subject up.

"No pogues on pogues making, remember?" I said trying to walk back to Pope and Cleo but he stopped me.

"Come on, we barely had time to talk since me and Sarah came back and we really need to talk about Kie"

Since me and Sarah came back.

He means since we all thought they died. I definitely didn't want him to bring this up especially since Kie is missing.

Or ever.

"There's nothing to talk about" I said trying to drop the subject but it was pointless.

"Come on, I can see it in your eyes" he said and that's when I figured out that love can actually make you sick.
