Vulnerable / Daeron Targaryen out now!
"A union? With the prince?"
Ned was saying words but Sansa didn't understand. Her fingers went to her necklace tugging gently at the charm.
"The king wants you for his son Joffrey... what do you think?'' Ned asked and for as long as Sansa could remember she wanted the finer things. She wanted a lavish life and marrying a prince would get her that. She should have been ecstatic but still her fingers traced over the daisy charm. A prince.
"Would we move to the capital?" Sansa questioned
"Yes. Robert asked me to be his hand of the king." Ned agreed.
"Would mother come?"
"No. I dont think so. But you and Arya could come the boy would stay here and look after your mother... what do you think?" Ned waited patiently. He wasnt thrilled but he couldnt say no. Could he?
"It..." she swallowed the lump in her throat. "It would be an honor." She remarked letting her hand drop to her side. Ned pressed a kiss to her forehead.
"Perhaps Prince Joffrey is a fine young man." Ned offered. "He is handsome, right?" Ned didnt know what teenagers thought was handsome but a blonde twat like Joffrey certainly wouldnt be unappealing to her, Ned had hoped.
"He is handsome." Sansa agreed softly.
"Wonderful!" Ned declared with a sigh of relief.
"Whats wonderful?" Jae questioned coming up behind him.
"You changed your shirt." Sansa remarked and Jae gave the fabric a little tug.
"The prince was offended by the color." Jae informed them awkwardly. Neds gaze dropped to his feet. "Sorry dont mean to pry, old sport." Jae offered "I'll just be on my way."
"Its not you Gatsby." Ned assured giving his shoulder a pat as Jae continued down the hall. Ned looked to Sansa as she stared in a dreamy haze after Jae.
For the amount of parties Jae threw he never liked being a guest. He liked being a host. Just sitting and enjoy relaxing it was not his forte.
"What are you doing you out here old sport?"
Jon always thought Jaes old sport motto was funny and charming.
"If im old sport what are you?" Jon mused.
"Excellent point." Jae agreed as he pat Ghosts head.
"What are you doing out here?" Jon countered
"Ive never been one to sit and enjoy I like to host. I like to keep busy... lady Catelyn told me to enjoy and relax but you dont have a piano." Jae remarked. "Im not really the most social."
"You're the most social person ive ever met." Jon countered. Jae stared back at him.
"For the amount of parties I have at the manor, I don't know many of the people that show up." Jae remarked softly.
"People just show up?" Jon chuckled.
"It gets lonely," Jae admitted. "having people around me as I host them... makes me feel less alone out there." Jon nodded understanding that. "I love your family and you." Jae assured. "But, the king..." Jae shook his head.
"You are a man with morals and honor the king..." Jae shrugged in agreement, it was easy to see that Robert was a man of pleasures of the world, not living with honor and dignity.
"I had always hoped to show you and your siblings the manor." Jae remarked. "But I enjoy the quiet at times... oh there is this light, a green flame, I swear its magic." Jae remarked. "You can see it off the edge of the dock, its hypnotizing."
"I would love to see it." Jon agreed.
"Maybe I can convince Ned to let me steal a few of you for a few moons." Jae offered hopefully.

"Marriage? To the prince?"
"Yeah. That is what I was telling Sansa. She had a similar reaction." Ned agreed. Jae glanced back at joffrey. ''You know him a bit...''
''Not well and I dont want to.'' Jae admitted softly. 'Sansa could do a lot better.'' Ned followed his gaze to joffreys pinched face.
''Agreed.'' Ned murmured. ''But what the kings wants he gets. What I am to say?''
''No.'' Jae offered.
"Easier in theory." Ned remarked. "Enjoy, relax." Ned suggested.
"I would rather be put to work." Jae admitted.
"Live a little Jae." Ned requested. "Robert, he wants me to be the hand and he wants you to join us... would you consider it?"
"Ned..." Jae whispered glancing back at the already drunk King.
'Well you are always welcome at the wall,' Benjen assured him. 'no bastard has ever been turned away there.' an idea, not thought through at all sprung into jons head.
'So take me with you when you go back.' Jon suggested.
'Jon-'
'Father will let me if you ask him.' Jon negotiated
'The wall isn't going anywhere.' Benjen reminded him.
'I'm ready.' Jon assured him.
'you don't understand what you'd be giving up, we have no families none of us father any sons-' Benjen explained. Most days Benjen regretted that. After all this time, seeing Ned's family grow while he just got more miscreant brothers.
'I don't care about that.' Jon told him but Benjen saw his face shift.
'You might.' Benjen told him 'if you knew what it meant..."
"Lord Gatsby is here." Jon remarked. "It's either the wall or the manor."
"Pick the manor." Benjen instructed as he headed inside.
'Your uncle is in the nights watch?' Tyrion said walking up the path.
'what are you doing back there?' Jon questioned
'Preparing for a night with your family.' Tyrion told him, "did I hear you say Gatsby?"
"He's inside." Jon agreed. Tyrion chuckled as he headed in. "You know him?"
"Been to quite a few of his parties, don't recall seeing him at most though." Tyrion remarked. "But I have met him. A man with morals," tyrion shuddered at the thought. "Why have all that power and land if you are going to waste it?" Tyrion asked.
"What would you do with an island?" Jon countered.
"My own personal whore house." Tyrion declared.
