"There is this light on the end of my dock, across the water, it glows green." Jae remarked. Sansa smiled leaning into him. When it was just them it wasn't so bad, it was quite peaceful, blocking out the rest of the world. Jae made it easy.

"Glows green?" Sansa questioned. "That's a strange color for a light."

"The hightowers, when they were going into battle their beacon glowed green back in the day." Jae informed her.

"Not too many hightowers are left." Sansa realized.

"I know of one. SHe might be the last one. Geneva Hightower is a friend of mine but she's down in dorne. Likes the sun but not the company from what I've heard." Jae mused. Sansa smiled softly but she couldn't help but think of all the women, not just girls like her but women that once held Jaes heart. "Something wrong, Sansa?"

"Just thinking."

"About?"

All the girls you loved before meeting me, Sansa thought hopelessly.

"You." Sansa answered. "That green light... your manor."

Tyrion was whistling through the halls victoriously he was hand of the king, he held all the power, this was going to be great. Sure he only trusted Jae and he wasnt on the council, yet. Ned stark was said to be an honorable man and the same could be said for Jae,, Tyrion worried that Jae would lose his head, they all would under joffrey's control. When he heard voices coming from his room only to see Shae with Varys, his smile dropped.

'my Lord.' Verys said standing up

'You make me wait a long time but your friend keeps me company.' Shae told him, still smiling.

'We were just speaking of your bravery in the war against the stark auxiliary forces.' Varys informed Tyrion.

'It was quite the battle' Tyrion agreed looking curiously at Shae but she just smiled popping a strawberry in her mouth.

'I heard you suffered a terrible head injury,' varys went on. 'the Northerners are such fierce warriors.'

'And I told him the story of how we met.' Shae told him

'To find such a lovely creature working in your father's kitchens... it almost beckons belief.' Varys told him

'Strange things do happen...' Tyrion agreed 'you should taste her fish pie.''

''I don't think lord varys likes fish pie.' Shae said confidently.

''How can you tell?' varys said smiling happily.

''I can always tell.' Shae said grinning at him

''But Lord varys I cannot let our disadvantages get the best of us we can make a fisherman of him yet.' Tyrion said nervously, but Shae didn't see the danger in Varys.

"I was working on your sigil." Sansa remarked. "I'm almost done, I made a little patch but I can make it bigger on your cloak if you like it."

"Can I see it?" Jae questioned.

"Its not done yet." Sansa informed him as she got off the bed her dress falling back into place as she moved around the room. The room that felt like a prison when Jae wasnt here.

"'I am glad our new friend had accompanied you to the capital... friends are such an important part of life... Unfortunate that your father did not want her to come but rest easy my Lord I am very good at keeping secrets from my good friends.'' Varys told him smugly

'Your discretion is legendary,'' Tyrion told him 'where your friends are concerned...''

''How unspeakable of me to go on and on when all you want to do is rest.' Varys smiled down at Shae. 'I will leave you.' Varys said kissing her hand. 'welcome to Kings Landing my dear, the city is made brighter by your presence...' varys turned his attention to Tyrion. 'We have a council meeting my Lord.''

''I don't like threats.' Tyrion warned holding the door closed.

''Well who threatened you?' varys questioned ignorantly.

''I am not Ned Stark I know how this game is played.'' Tyrion reminded him.

''Ned Stark was a man of honor and-''

''And I am not.'' Tyrion reminded him. 'threaten me again and I will have you thrown into the sea.' slowly he removed his hand from the door but Varys pushed a finger against holding it closed now.

''You may see poor results, the storms come and go the big fish eat the little fish and I keep on paddling come my Lord...' he said opening the door 'we should not keep the queen waiting.''

Sansa held out the partial daisy, Jae smiled down at it.

"I wanted to make it perfect, I think I started over ten times." Sansa remarked.

"It's lovely."

"I know what I want to do the center now too." Sansa remarked grabbing her needle and sitting back beside him.

"Sansa I dont know if I told you lately how brave you are." Jae remarked.

"Its just needlepoint." Sansa laughed back.

"Against the Lannisters. You have shown great bravery and compassion, most wouldnt in your circumstances and... I know your father would be proud of the young woman you are becoming." Jae clarified. Sansa put down her needle and hugged him.

"Thank you for saying all that." Sansa whispered into his ear. "because I dont feel so brave."

"You dont have to be brave with me, I'm here for you, whatever you need. I'm not going anywhere."
