"She's the type of girl
That can be so hurt
But can still look at
You and smile"

"Hello, Ari. Not ignoring us today, are you?" Jane playfully asked, but there was a hint of seriousness in her voice, making me instantly feel guilty, but I knew it was worth it.

It will be worth it.

"Nope," I said, smiling at her, to which she replied with a smile of her own.

"By the way, will you come to the party next Friday?" Emily asked as we walked towards our homeroom class.

"Yes, Surprisingly, Weston allowed it," I said. They both squealed in excitement and started gushing about the dresses they were going to wear, not me.

Because I frankly hate dresses.

We reached class and headed inside, where other students were already seated, and let hel—I mean, school start. I normally like school, but today, I hated it.

I just didn't feel like going today because we have two periods of Maths and then a period of French, which is so boring. Firstly, I already know French, and secondly, the teacher is so boring. She spends most of the lesson lecturing us more than actually teaching us.

I sighed in distaste as the teacher came in, and the final bell started ringing, giving me a slight migraine because it was really loud and long.

"I don't care if you talk today. Just keep the noise down, please," our homeroom teacher, Mr. Williams, said, wearing sunglasses and lying his head down, mumbling something that I didn't hear.

"Do you think he is hungover?" Jane asked, nudging me and Emily. "I think so," I said, looking over at Mr. Williams, who was dead asleep, his sunglasses still on, covering his eyes.

"Who drinks on a weekday?" Emily asked as she turned to Jane and me, looking confused. That was the exact thing I, and most probably Jane, also thought about.

"Honestly, I don't even know, and I don't give a shit," Jane said. I glared at her swearing, but she innocently looked at me, shrugging before turning back.

Two phones suddenly pinged, and Jane and Emily looked at them and then groaned simultaneously. I looked at them questioningly, to which Emily answered, "Work things that I seriously don't feel like doing today, but I have to do anyways alongside this idiot." I made an 'oh' expression before nodding my head.

"Be safe, guys," I said as they nodded.

Ever since Emily and Jane told me about their being assassins, they have been open about it except for some confidential things. It was okay with them to tell me because, apparently, the British Mafia was in alliances with my family's Mafia.

At first, I was confused about why they were doing missions when they were still 17 and in high school. But they said they wanted to do it by heart and not because of their parents because they didn't even force them.
